| Quote: The Dentist Wilf "Bad discipline, no passion, no FC spirit, no leadership, players doing as they like on and off the filed and away from the Club new signings upset by what they found and incoming players upset by the ways things are done it has all gone bad and a change was so, so needed. To cosy for some to removed for others. Pearson was absolutely apoplectic at the end last night and I have to say quite rightly too.
However if anyone thinks that we will be appointing a new Coach as we approach the most testing time for the Club since the David Lloyd years and a time when the whole game is under threat is pretty deluded for me. We are going to struggle to survive the next six months and the fans will have to rally round the owner and the players and do whatever we can to help the Club survive. All sport is threatened by this virus and if we can save the wages of a Coach for a few months I think we will.'"
Pearson is as culpable as anyone. He's sat on his hands for far to long and watched it deteriorate. What will have influenced him more than anything was the turnout last night and then the walkout. Can't have been many left at the hooter.

Jones had every right to have a go. I couldn't believe he just booted it out.

Exactly all he had to do was just drop on it and as you say Jones had every right to tell him as much. Think that is part and parcel of some of the issues in the squad that some players are too cosy and LR was too matey with players rather than being the boss. Unfortunately its a lesson I learnt after being in a team at work and one of the lads to then having to manage the same group. You can no longer have that same relationship and have to distance yourself so lines are not blurred.

Oh I quite agree, I was amazed when he didn't drop on it.

I shouted at Shaul more than Jones did I think! 3 yards from our line, just fall on it. As soon as you are touched it is tackle complete. Stupid decision

I'm not so sure. Isn't it the case that the tackle is complete when the momentum stops?
From where I was sitting, it looked like if he had dropped on it, the chasers would have tackled him, and, with the momentum, they would have all ended up in goal. With the same result.

Too cosy for some, too clicky for others. 80% of attitude is down to how the player feels about himself and his playing environment. Pearson was absolutely apoplectic at the end last night and I have to say quite rightly too, he's facing a massive financial headache and he wants the fans with him not going home on 60 minutes.
However if anyone thinks that we will be appointing a new Coach as we approach the most testing time for the Club since the David Lloyd years and a time when the whole game is under threat is pretty deluded for me. We are going to struggle to survive the next six months big style and the fans will have to rally round the owner and the players and do whatever we can to help the Club survive. All sport is threatened by this virus and if we can save the wages of a Coach for a few months I think we will.'"
Unbelievable Pete!!
1. Why has the owner allowed the environment to deteriorate??..( as soon as AP saw this, he should have fired Radford ..)
2. A new broom is clearly needed, high profile players need to respect their Manager, keeping Last wont change anything, nor an unproven Head Coach, nor a lower division Head Coach.
3. Maybe Purcell & Ellis be a better short term solution?
4. If a new player wants away, let him go, use that money to replace Radford..

Very possibly but not necessarily. The point is he had the time and space to drop on it and potentially avoid a drop out. Instead it looked like he couldn't be d and booted it dead.

I don’t agree. He and the Wire chasers were moving at speed an very likely would have continued to the in goal.
However, what I do agree with, is that Shaul, despite his odd moments of glory, isn’t good enough for a SL full back.

No Shaul should have dropped on it. He had space and time to do so.
Anyway so many inexcusable mistakes and poor play and attitude.
I said during the game that the team weren't playing for Lee, even for us that was bad.
Strange how player power both got him and lost him his job

| My issue with Shaul is his lack of attacking nounce. We must have the only fullback that breaks attacks down.
