Super League team of the month for May....let's wait and see but it's a shoe in.
You really think nobody's like Rankin & Miller can cut it with Travis Burns?
Quite extraordinary but that is the calibre of the average Hull fan for you.

| Well disappointing result and performance again. Good start to the match by us but should have turned some of that early pressure into points. Once Rovers found their groove we looked completely clueless. At 18-0 down I feared we were going to get hammered. Good comeback by us to pull it back but why did it take us being 18-0 to get some fight back into us? That fight and competitiveness should have been there all along. Similar story once Crookes was sent off as it fired us up but we should have already been fired up with it being a derby! Was always going to be difficult down to 12 men but for a while there I thought maybe, just maybe, we were going to do it.
Feka's try will live long in the memory. Absolutely brilliant the way he dragged his way over the line like that. Crookes has to go for me. A yellow and red card in his last two matches. Nothing but a liability.

| I know we didn't have the ball much but Carvell and Paea go forward stats are poor, only 10 carries between them. Are they being lazy or under used.
I'd drop them both for Friday and bring back Green and Thompson.

| I'm sure someone will correct me, but last 2 victories against Rovers, have we not got into Burns and turned the key in his back just far enough? Last 2 defeats we haven't even bothered.
Not saying it was the difference or that we would have won on Saturday, but FFS target your opponent's weaknesses. Needle Burns from the kick off and he'll pop sure as eggs is eggs.

| I'm not so sure about that. When he was given a leadership role in the team I doubted his maturity and feared he would spend more time off the pitch than on it. So far he's risen to it and seems to be able to keep a lid on it for the most part. Having said that, yes I would have expected your players to at least try to get a rise out of him.

He has been meditating recently, he now feels the love for you and won't react to any nasty stuff you throw his way, same as Benny C, all you had to do was wind him up, but he has now conquered this meaning you now have to resort to playing rugby, which is your downfall.

I haven't watched him that much this year but the dummy spits last year were hilarious. Having said that we don't appear to be smart enough to try it this year anyway.

How did Bowden go stats wise as well ?
Probably better go forward but his attempt on Burns was poor when the break was made and he coughed up his usual dropped ball. Not impressed with any of our props apart from Feka at the moment. Maybe time to get Green in.

| Thought it was baffling, for Radford to go with 5 props
in the heat, thought Thompson wouldve been ideal.
Feka was the only prop, who came out with any credit - IMO

Poor 9 carries 51 meters, average gain 5.6.
Only forwards with any credit should be Feka, Houghton and Ellis, rest were poor. Although we're did Heremia play when he came on, did he go in the backrow, his stats are good.
Agree about Bowdens attempt, really poor, although a few others missed him, Colbons attempt in the same move on Keating was terrible also.
Problem is Watts, Carvell, Bowden and Paea were all disappointing, unfortunately can't drop them all.
Green deserves his chance, no idea what to do with the rest of the team though.

I imagine he came on as hooker & then moved into the halves when Shaul went off with Rankin moving to fullback.
