Turner is a liability in defence and all Sts trys was down his side and he flew out of the line, leaving the petulant $hit that is wilkin a walk in...Sts are welcome to him.

No he really is not, he is actually one of our more solid players in defense. I like the look of young Crooks however he needs to tighten his defense up a bit which I am sure he will. A couple of wrong decisions in the last couple of games really do not make him a liability in defense

Not just the last couple of weeks though. He wont be missed when he goes and you could argue that he cost us the 2pts at the end when he went for the intercept at the end and gave Sts another set of 6 and they got into the position to put the kick up,where if he had held his line..they would be kicking from thier 40....dont rate him, never have and wont be missed.

You can't be offside in your own in goal area'"

Perry wasn't in the in-goal area.

It didn't hit the cross bar. Or if it did it only flicked it on the way through to hitting the Saints player.

Very poor attacking display. We controlled the game well but, to not win with that amount field position and possession is poor. Some players had shockers. Horne, Manu, Houghton, Turner and Westerman. Very disappointing.

Did you watch the CC quarter final between Wigan and Saints? If so, you saw another such match as Saints had the majority of posession and field position (75% in the first half) but not only managed to lose the game, but lose it pretty convincingly.

I also thought he got it right when Westy was obstructing the runners for the kick, a really stupid play there, since they'd not threatened from a kick before that.

Yep, was utterly stupid and very obvious. Changed the momentum of the game too IMO. Saints scored off that set and then from the kick off set too I think.
With loads of possession and not much defending to do, Westerman should have been in his element yesterday. But instead he was poor again. If everyone was fit, he wouldn't be in my 17 ATM.

Did anyone see what happened right at the end? Saints twitter said we were attacking with 10 seconds to go, when hull knocked on which should have been play on, we had a 5 on 2 overlap then Alibert pulled it back? They said he'd given us a penalty then changed his mind.
But I haven't seen anyone mention it since!

The second try came down our left, but I agree otherwise. The last few games he seems to be modelling himself on Welham chasing interceptions all the time. I'm not even too sure about the one early doors where people say he saved a try with a big hit, from where I was it didn't look so much like he made the tackle, more that the Saints player panicked and fumbled with him bearing down. I could be wrong as it was the other side of the pitch from me, but it looked like with a bit more composure the centre could/should have put the winger in.

Russell fumbled a high ball, the ball hit the ground and went "sidewaysish". it then bounced near Manu, but its very hard to make out if it touched him or not. another player Hull player dives on the ball.

9 times out of 10 it would have been Hulls play on, or saints head and feed.

The penalty for a 'Manu accidental offside' echoes Ganson's "Ill do whatever's the most dramatic" ethos to reffing a game. icon_biggrin.gifOH: eusa_naughty.gif

It was Wellens, and it was a bona fide big hit from Turner IMO. The interception at the end would have secured the victory, and he actually did the hard bit well - but it didn't quite stick. Having said that, it gave Saints another set, from which they got the penalty to draw.

Would like to see it again, but thought Russell was tackled in the air, hence the knock on
