| Quote: Standee "if he was a "consultant" then he'd not have any legal recourse, nature of the beast.'"
Actually that depends. The original statement claimed that they had terminated his 'consultancy contract' and if a contract was involved then it's possible that it's been breached.
A lot more complicated than with the termination of an employee but there may be a case there nonetheless.

"creditability" bless, when trying to come across as being clever you should try harder.
I ask again, where's your evidence that AP was an fte?
Kosh, that's what I was getting at, if eh's an fte that is one thing, if he was contracted then I don't understand the "without compensation" bit, as you say, a lot of water to go under some fairly rickety bridges in the coming months.

and when you say "fair dismissal hearing", what do you mean?'"
well id say because he had a job title would mean that he was an employee.
and id say the dismissal fell short of standards due to the reaction and statement issued by Adam.
shame your picking up on poor english to claw back some pride. or should i say "creditability"

so, anyone with a job title is an fte, right, I get you.
I think you meant credibility, but crack on, it's funny.
AP has simply said it is "in the hands of his lawyers", nothing more, people are making assumptions about things, we shall see what transpires.

| It's all very confusing.
Pearson [iwas[/i Chairman of Hull City before handing over to Russell Bartlett and becoming Head of Football Operations - a role he continued in after the Allam takeover
rlhttp://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/HULL-CITY-TAKEOVER-Allams-ask-patience-163-40m-deal-promise-cash-signings/story-11961697-detail/story.htmlrl
So when did Pearson stop being an employee?

Unless the purchase of another company breached a clause in his employment contract (possible) this wouldn't make a difference. If there was such a clause, then the consultancy agreement may have replaced the employment one.
However, reports at the time indicated that the Allams had no knowledge of the buy-out until the day before it happened. If they were that angry, they would have ripped up the employment contract then if they were able. A new consultancy contract wouldn't have been an option.
It would appear that the Hull FC ownership thing has only recently become unpalatable. Why?

i did realise my mistake the first time you pointed it out actually, and used again 'tong in cheek', (totally lost on you)
back on topic, my point is this. consultants are used common place in my line of work, but they would never be given a job title by the customer. and as i know the role of a consultant, if you were not pleased with the job they had done for you. you would just not use them again. ANY kind of sacking would not be required.
it was more the quote "the sudden and in my view totally unjustified termination of my agreement." that leads my to think it was possibly unfair.

strange that, because I AM a consultant, and I have always had a job title for every single one of my clients, but it's irrelevant as it seems we are in agreement, AP, to my mind, was an employee and not simply some hired gun as Allam would have us believe. What will be interesting is how much of an apetite AP has for a fight with the Allams, they have deep pockets and huge ego's, interesting times ahead.
If AP was working as a consultant he would have a contract in place, he would be on a minimum of 3 months notice for his kind of position.

id be happy to accept that using the consultants im aware of might be a flawed analogy in this case.
i wouldnt be surprised to see Adam go through the motions of an appeal. as you say the question will be to what extent he chases a result. only he knows how badly he's been done to. im starting to wonder how much appetite the Allams have for the running of a football club where your knee jerk reactions to will be scrutinised and lambasted by tens of thousands of passionate fans.

I don't think they fully understood what they were getting into, the same as Allam Marine, kids playing at being business people, I can hear chickens clucking.

Must admit it's a bit confusing. If he wasn't an employee then he wouldn't automatically get any 'compensation' if the contract was terminated, so why bother to mention it? I guess he could have had a consultancy contract that included compensation terms for early termination but I'm not sure how often that happens - you'd know better than me.

It hardly ever happens Kosh, but you usually don't dispense of a consultant until the end of their term, it's all a bit odd, would you allow a "temporary" member of staff to make decisions that materially impact the long term (like signing a Premier League striker?).
It's fishier than Grimsby on Good Friday.
One thing is for sure, if I were a City or KR fan I would have huge concerns, as it is, if AP has truly fallen outh with "The Doctor" and his snivelling little son I can only be happy, offspring that bask in reflected glory are usually more ueeless than their origin, ask the Murdochs.

| looks like citys fans and manager (Who ever that may be) are going to be held to ransom over the money the Allams have fronted to save the club. and questioning the the Allams ways or speaking out side of their business plan will not be tolerated and could wind up being your last involvement with the club. maybe rovers too to a (MUCH) lesser extant, even i am far from happy as a hull fan in even being associated to them via the stadium company, and its possibly been made all the worse by the broken down relationship between them and Adam.

| If they really are going to attempt to have a more direct handling of football matters, then God help the City fans. I can envisage a Hudge-esque spectacle at half-time with the Allams handing out advice and oranges, with Phil Brown banished to the chopping board too afraid to speak out.
