Quote: UllFC "Regardless of what the old board did or didn't do, he still walked out on the club, it's fans and his team mates to join our biggest rivals and laughed at us.

He's just trying to stir up a bit of publicity before he ends his unfulfilled career at mighty Doncaster.'"

Spot on eusa_clap.gif

We all know that the old regime screwed up big time on more than one occasion, including the whole Cooke fiasco. However the fact remains that Cooke could have instigated a move over the close season. Sure he may have been p****d at the board, but this would have been the decent way to do things, instead he decided to walk out on his team mates and the fans mid-way through a season in a blatant attempt to well and truely screw us over.

He is currently jumping on Pearson's "Kath bashing" wagon in yet another attempt at trying to get himself a little piece of the limelight.

His nice little line about the fact that he "promised his Mum" is an attempt to play on people's emotions and one that I don't buy as it is just another example of how low he will stoop to try and make himself out to be the victim.

The guy is lower than a snakes nipple end, and nothing he can say will ever change that.

Quote: Chris28 "Will they? The report says "The club will be ending the financial year for 2011". Is that not April 2011? I though the financial year was April to April?

Genuine question - I'm not a finance person (as my bank manager keeps saying

I don't think FCs accounting dates coincide with the fiscal one's you quote. As far as I am aware FCs year end is 31 October.

Quote: Mrs Barista "1) Accounts show losses of £1.9m for Rovers over 6 years. Are you saying this is untrue?
2) Allam said he had made Rovers a loan of £1m. So you are saying he's waived it.

Just for clarity, like.'"

Mrs B, Mr Allam's million quid was a GIFT to Rovers, not a loan.

Must be said that its you the fans of FC that by withdrawing support, stopping buying shirts etc that encouraged the old gang to sell to AP.
Powerfull thing is fan power and everyone that had principles and stuck to them has won out in the end.
Better to find out now and not 1 or 2 or 3 years down the line regarding now things were run.
Power to the fans and well done !

Then you'd presume of a big rise for this season then.

depends, with the signings that we inherited from Fubar and a lack of any other quality players brought in since the AP takeover a lot of people are still unconvinced, give it 8 games, if we're playing entertaining stuff then we may just start to see gates increasing, warm words in the press wont win over the many cynics that have "heard and read it all before"
