| If Talanoa isn't fit who'd you go with Micheals or Lancaster? Micheals looked in good nick yesterday and is a very good defensive back.

Michaels, he's better defensively, and offers the same in attack.

| Has much as I love to see young local lads come through I can not see the point in brining Michaels over and not playing him
If I'm really honest I think we should of not resigned him, he is a good player and I like him but I have always thought if you sign an Aussy they need to be someone who's really going to make your 17 every week or what's the point
At the moment I don't think Steve does make the 17, but What do I know we will probably get injuries and be glad we have him in the squad same as Lee Smith
Overall we look very strong squad wise and dare I say it but some of our fringe players like Hadley, Green, Bowden, Whiting, smith, Michaels, feka, Lancaster, Fash, Turgut all look a lot better than Rovers have in there 17 there looking for loan players is the rumour wonder if ...... no surly not lol

| Pretty even for me, Michaels' experience vs Lancaster's pace.

Dont think Michaels is far behind Lancaster for pace once in the open.

| Having watched the game last night on KC Sport and not being in the state of euphoria, that I would have been if I'd gone, I think FC played very much the same as last season, forwards running up and one man rugby BUT the massive difference was, when the break came we had players in abundance backing up. The half backs had more time and room behind the dominant pack. Still a bit of sloppy defending for their tries but their third came off the back of a superb 40-20. I hope we perform the same against Super League opposition LOL, and when match fitness is obtained, Sika was blowing a bit, we should go well.

| Last year we were 2nd for clean breaks so the game plan to some extent did work, we were just not clinical enough in the opposition 20 which looks, from sundays game, to have been resolved slightly. Their 3rd was un-defendable for me - the ball from Kelly was majestic

Naughton for me, but there are pros and cons for all three, wouldn't complain whichever is picked.

I thought Michaels combined well with Tuimavave and would get my vote for Salford but if Talanoa is fit Radford will play him as he likes the strength of ball return that Talanoa gives us.

Hadley is probably out the pick for 1st game due to missing yesterday.[ Thompson due due his versatility would be better suited to bench imo but that said he went well yesterday there.] When ellis is fit as well its a hell of a pack!!'"
I thought Thompson had a great second half, fully committed in defence, and always eager and willing in attack to make the hard yards. in my opinion he would always be in my 17 if possible. certainly didn't look out of place alongside some great company.

They will have reviewed it, as they do with all friendlies involving SL clubs, but this information may only be available for the clubs involved. Not sure though, someone may have the stats?
