| Quote: Kosh "The Wii has been dying in terms of sales numbers for a couple of years now, but the fact remains that the 360 would have to have several more years of outselling it to make up the gap in total units sold. I don't think we'll ever see one console dominate sales in that way again.'"
I agree, because most people who own a Wii have either grown out of it, or realised that the games were fairly one dimensional.

Not that so much. The Wii grew sales by opening up gaming to a new demographic of casual gamers. That demographic has now moved on to the likes of smartphones and tablets. They don't need a console to play the kinds of games they want anymore. The market created by the Wii has basically left console builders behind.

I think more just got bored of the same old thing being rehashed on the Wii, the majority of games are pretty much the same thing. You also take into account the restrictions with a Wii compared to something like a Kinect where there is no need for the cumbersome controllers any more.
Smartphones/Tablets may have taken a small percentage of users away from the Wii, but I suspect a big chunk of them decided to get an Xbox instead as they get a wider selection of games and still have the "Wii-Type" gaming with the kinect.

The industry analysts I've read disagree. Also the sales figures for the three different consoles don't add up.

| should bring it out after the squads are sorted that way it will be alot easier lol remember having to swap players left right and centre on the wii but that was the only game were it was fun the last rugby league game out for 360 and ps3 was like watching paint dry very boring and slow as hell got props catching wingers when you break the line haha
EA sports making the game would be a dream but they would make peanuts off it

| Glad it's going back to the original makers of rugbyleague and also having Origin, Toyota Cup and Championship will be good. Like the fact they have Gus on board.
Just need decent gameplay now!

it's big ant again. it's on their site as well
bigant.com/bigant_games/view/rug ... live-2-30/
the only decent rugby game ever made in my opinion was the EA Sports 2005, which even though it was kick and clap still was more playable than any league game. never bought RL Live as the reviews were terrible accross the board, i do still gave RL2 on the PS2 though and even though it's clunky and the players pause when they miss a tackle it's nothing compared to the hillarious animation of a sidestep....they slide like on ice without moving the feet off the ground hillarious.
anyway RL live was ported from the code for RL3 which was a wii game made by sidhe anyway, so this time it should be all big ants own work and hopefully a lot lot better for all of us to enjoy!

Yeah Sidhe were really ed off that they had the game taken away and all of the work they put it was basically stolen for the new game (made by big ant) - they even used the same commentary recordings and motion capture info
