| Briscoe grounded the ball before the dead ball line but I'd be stunned if he didnt get a hand to the ball and knock it on when the contending for the ball with Evans.

| just seen the try on sky sports, nothing wrong with the grounding, if it was a knock on, the linesman would have indicated it, he didn't, he waved for a tap on the 20 for wire, ganson, correctly over ruled his linesman

| Thought Ganson had a decent game.
The early scrum that was supposed to be against was given by the linesman and Ganson overruled after talking with the in goal judge.
The Briscoe try the linesman gave Warrington drop out so must have thought Evans knocked if forward but didnt think Briscoe grounded it. From Gansons view (and mone) Briscoe clearly touched down so he overruled him.
Will be intersting if he was correct after seeing it on Sky

he was correct to over rule the linesman, but the linesman flagged for tap on the twenty

Prepare for stunnage...
Just watched it back and freeze-framed it. Briscoe never touches the ball in flight - Evans touches it twice. Perfectly good try which would have been given by the VR had there been one.

The replay on the big screen straight aftewards suggested the same. That's why I asked what Tony Smith's disappointment was. Perhaps he would prefer that Ganson had agreed with the TJ and given the wrong decision. Poor comment by Smith IMO.

Smith has always been a whining twit when his side gets beaten and Mr. Smug when they win. I have pretty much zero respect for the man TBH. No class whatsoever.

just watched it again, linesman does seem to indicate a goal line drop out, must've been the angle of the camera

Which means that pretty much the only person who thought there was a knock-on was a certain Tony Smith.
Quelle suprise.

Odd one. If Briscoe did touch the ball then he was in the field off play and it would have been a handover but non of the officials called that.
Think Smith is over egging the situation and looking more and more like a right whinging #### IMO.
