saints have been amazing this season with the injuries they've had. if they can get everyone on the field in the latter stages of the season then I'd say they were a good bet for champions this year. that said, it will be disappointing if we don't beat them

Haven't they lost Wheeler and Lomax aswell now? So that's both their [iback up[/i halves! And I thought 2008 was bad for us? Really is no excuse now.

yep lomax out for 5 weeks ankle injury, scott moore now is injured 5 weeks ankle injury, wheeler shoulder, wellens pryce and eastmound still out so thats 6 potnetial halfbacks out.

Wilkin will play in one of the halfback positions.

Crumbs. I think there was a stage in 2008 when we were down to 15 fit squad members. A Saints friend said they'd hit that point last weekend - that was [ibefore[/i Lomax and Moore were hurt on Monday...

Looks like Jonny vegas could be making a return for them. It does just show how poor the "injuries" argument is when you look at Saints. Every club has them and at this moment and last season Saints are as bad if not worse than we have been in recent years. What is apparent with them as opposed to us is that they have genuine quality in reserve and not perceived quality like we have. Their scouting system must be far superior to ours.
Their amateur leagues must develop far better players and more dedicated. Equally the competition for Saints around them is as intense as ours with Rovers so we can't use that as an excuse either.

Anyone who thinks Saints will roll over are in for a HUGE shock
