Back on topic, I'm glad that the season is (effectively) over. If we get to the play offs, we would be humiliated again in front of a TV audience if the performance is anything like today. If we'd been playing Leeds or Saints, they'd have run a cricket score up.
Getting further in the comp would be a disaster for us.

We'd not have played Leeds or Saints in the play offs. If we'd have finished 8th it would meant playing the 5th placed team away - possibly Wigan or Harlequins. A defeat no doubt but not on telly. |

The plays off system has been changed.
1st week is
1 v 4
2 v 3
5 v 8
6 v 7
The top four are guaranteed two games as the losers play the winners of the 5/8 6/7 matches.
The top placed team in the final week (four teams) selects their oponents. so if the league finishes as it stands at present and there are no shocks in the play offs, Saints could chose Leeds, Huddersfield or Rovers at home.
Not that it matter to us anymore. |
