| Quote Gordon Gekko="Gordon Gekko"Lets agree to disagree.
Myler has a better all round game that either Matty Smith or Eastmond, neither of whom have a kicking game. Also worth noting is the lack of quality around him at Salford
'"
Wouldnt that be boring?
Matty smith main stranght in his kicking game, ask the Saints fans, Eastmond also has a decent kicking game.
Myler short kicking game is good, but long kicking game is poor, his passing game is nothing special but is a great runner of the ball and great support player.
I was watching him closly on Friday and he wasnt orgaising the team like a SH should do. I think he is Richard Horne or Danny Mcguire type player.
You may have a point about playing for salford though, saying that it is sometimes easy to shine in a poor team.

| He is a very good player and would be a very good signing for us, but the money thats been banded around in the media is just silly. If he goes to Wire or Wigan he will achieve nothing and will probably end up leaving after a short while

| Don't Wigan have the "next big thing" in one of the tompkins brothers? the way members of my family go on about him you'd think he was up there with Johns/Lockyer and possibly better than both.

I would counter the Matty Smiths argument by saying he cannot command a place in the Celtic team when Quinn and Van Djik are available and has played hooker for them quite a lot. So to say he is better than Myler is a little ott we'll say.
I think Myler will be an even better player with quality around him as he showed for England. As for being a Horne/McGuire type player i'd say he is a better passer and kicker than either of them so that would make him potentially a much better player in the right team.

| Quote Standee="Standee"Amazes me how half a decent season has people apparently clamouring for him, imagine if someone had bought Yeaman after his one season wonder, how disappointed would they be now!'" Because top class British scrum halves are like gold dust; so if a young lad looks any where close eveyone will want him.

| To be fair, almost every single RL expert agrees that Myler is the no.1 scrum half prospect in the country. We (as England fans) have every right to get exited about him as he's likely to be the starting scrum half for years to come. He is totally out of our league and speculating otherwise is futile. It will do him wonders to go to a club like Saints because as a scrum half it's much, much easier to shine behind a dominant pack. The fact that he's looking so good behind a beaten pack shows what a talent he is.

| I can't wait to watch the Four Nations to see how Myler fairs against Australia and New Zealand. It's alright running the show against France, because every set someone broke a tackle and offered the offload. That game suited him perfectly. I am not being a critic as i am a big fan of Myler, but i think a few people are getting a bit carried away

As someone mentioned, decent British halfbacks are rare as hen's teeth - young ones double so. Hence all the excitment.
I agree he's probably being bigged up a little too much too fast, but there's no doubting he has talent and potential. Only time will tell if he fulfils it.
