| The argument about overseas/home-grown is spurious - the REAL debate is part-time/full-time
Below the SL players have a career outside of rugby. It takes a very brave player to throw that away and go full time on the off-chance that they are successful in SL.
I understand that SL "rules" are that players must be full time, so that surely prevents a lot of lads from lower divisions being prepared to take a chance at higher level. Who is going to jack their job in to get a month's trial with a SL club after which you might be binned anyway ?
I think that's a bigger problem than the imports.

i know that clubs have been interested in him but they wasnt willing to pay what he currently earns

With all respect i don't think any of them are good enough for SL and its also worth nothing that three of them are overseas players!!!

I don't see why Rugby Teams shouldn't.
Ian Hardman who had a loan spell at Rovers, I think he's at Featherstone now (not sure) but I think with a bit of grooming he can make it in SL.
