| After having 1980, Hull's inability to win at Wembley and Rovers Super League derby dominance rammed down my throat constantly, the manner of last years defeat left me feeling as traumatised as any sporting event can. Thus events yesterday could not have panned out any better and this is pure karma as far as I am concerned. Some comments and threads are suggesting that we begrudgingly accept this victory with a combination of humility and embarrassment.
Well guess what my red and white friends, colleagues and family members, the best dairy farmer in the world ain't gonna be able to milk this as much as I will be.
A script that took a year to write.

When the VR was checking for the off side, that is all I thought he was looking at, to see if Green was in his own half when the ball was kicked.'"
In football you can't be offside in your own half, but there is no such rule in rugby.

Must rank as one of the worst Video Ref decisions ever. From the start of Green's chase to him crossing the line he looked to be ahead of every other Hull player. So technically he could only have been onside if he had kicked the ball himself as no Rovers player played him onside. Cannot comprehend how Ganson did not rule on that. Maybe they need 2 in the VR box as they currently operate in the NRL.

He claims to have tracked the wrong player. Having watched it back any number of times I have no idea who he was tracking.

| What does the SL Derby record currently stand at now? I assume KR are still a few games ahead of us?

12-9 in rovers favour, including the play off game of 2010
The over all record is in hulls favour, not sure how many though

| Lots to be said about this game (would have said it sooner but I've been away for the bank holiday) but where do you start?
We were poor plain and simple. Rovers hit us hard early on and it was that superb 40-20 from Holdsworth (and Whiting's try obviously) that got us out of trouble at that point but then it really was all Rovers. They looked so much better than us in that first half but for me we were the masters of our own downfall there with the errors and mistakes we kept making. But I had hope at half time as the score line was close.
Thought we started the second half the better of the two teams and looked to be putting Rovers under a bit of pressure but started to look clueless pretty quickly. Fair play to Rovers defence which was on fine form but why were we not kicking on the last tackle at this point? We seemed to be panicking too much.
When the score was 16-6 in Rovers favour I kept trying to tell myself that we were only 10 points behind but I just couldn't see where the tries were going to come from. Then it all went nuts once Lineham scored.
Thought the Yeaman try was a 50/50 call. I could easily have seen that given as no try on another day. Green's try... well that was just awful by Ganson to give that but fair play to Green for chasing that down like he did.
Overall: poor effort by us but I'll take it

| This "tracking the wrong player" thing is just so much bullshine imo.
All he had to do was follow the player who scored back to the original position at the kick (which, incidentally, Thaler's cock up with the tackle count forced us into in such a mess - he counts 4 at the play the ball then raises his arm as we're in play and shouts "5" twice).
It's not as though Green is a "standard size" player either. He's massive!
Or had Ganson been enjoying a few £4.20 pints from the concourse?

Ganson is obviously the one who has made the incorrect call, but some blame must attach to Thaler because of his lateness in changing the tackle number. If he'd called it correctly the kick would have been made earlier and would not have been straight towards Eden. This, in my opinion, brought about the incident with Green/Eden.
