| Quote: Jake the Peg "He certainly looked done last saturday. Why is it complex? rovers desperate to get him off their books and cats have seen what he offers and don't want to commit beyond this year.
As for the hooker, let's hope he isn't going to be our main option at 9. With 4 injury prone players in our spine, the last thing we need is a young inexperienced hooker as the 5th'"
Again fans saying its a good signing yet most of them including me probably have never seen him play
Let hope he is not another Jordan Johnstone
What we can say with some confidence is that Balmforth wont be here next season

| Quote: Fishface "I really don’t get all this regarding signings in that, the number one priority is a coach. As Myler said from the start we need a coach who fits and will dictate our style of play. While it’s great to see new signings and I’m as excited as anyone else, where is the coach who will want these signings and be sure of making his influence count? Maybe we have it done and just can’t release the info yet. The longer this goes on, the more baffling it appears.
Thoughts....'"

Well we signed big men from down under in the likes of Pele and Okunbor. Fash makes them look like amateurs.

1 year for a 34 year old top centre
Makes more sense to me than Hardaker who is 33 in October on a two year deal
In Myler we trust

I like Fash and he’ll improve us when he returns. However, I hope we have a stronger squad next season were Fash struggles to make the 17.

| While the clubs recruitment should be a lot better I do find some players motivations quite baffling, it seems Tom Johnstone who's in great form at a club that is in with a good chance of trophies has turned down marquee money to head home to Wakefield??
Some just value being close to home and familiarity above anything else.

Think that says more about Pele and Okunbor than Fash. Fash is a good squad player, never lets anyone down. But he’s gone from been an able fill in to ‘one of the first names on the teamsheet’.

Johnstone has moved back to Wakey because they've got loads of money and offered him an absolute fortune. Wasn’t long ago he was raving about the life in France and Catalans and how it made him love the game again but money talks. Same will
apply to McMeeken, both could have had the pick of any SL club they wanted.

Fully agree, Walker is bang average. However there are certain positions where we can only dream of being bang average at the minute, so it's not the priority. I'm hoping Moy will continue to develop to the point where he can make a case for the 1 shirt. But failing that full back is something we will need to address the following year.

Is it any slower than our 2016 backline which could and arguably should have won the treble? Talanoa, Yeaman, Fonua and Michaels was hardly rapid. I'd like to get more pace in the backline too but its not the be all and end all.

Which is another reason why we need to get our recruitment right for next season , there's a risk that Wakey will have a better side than us next season and we'll be in a battle with Cas/Toulouse for the wooden spoon

Disagree. We’ll see the best of Walker in a higher quality team. He’s got it, more than most of our squad.
