| Quote: Dave K. "Shauls passing is so bad he couldn't even find an opposition player, that pass yesterday was a bad a pass I've seen for a long time.
When did Shaul make a break, I don't remember a break by any player.
Shauls strengths were making breaks and being safe, he does neither anymore.
You must be a friend or related, he was awful yesterday.
I don't think you watch the games.'"
Shaul was so bad yesterday that in my mind he's gone from "not as good as Connor, not a good ball player, but he's reliable and a good guy to have as a back up." To "I hope I don't see him at full back ever again."
He isn't as bad as that performance suggests. He just had a particularly bad day. But things like that early pass to touch bring into stark contrast the difference between his skill set and Connor's. Jake makes those in his sleep. Jamie looked like he had never passed a ball before.

| Quote: HFCHU8 "Am I right in saying that we originally gave Sao the 13 shirt when he first came over? I do like Sao and his efforts but I do agree he can lack the go forward in comparison to others. Maybe reverting him back to 13 once the likes of evans/Bowden are back could be an option for him?'"
Yeah I think he has to play 13 once a couple of props come back. To give him some credit, he is a good defender and he has an offload game. At 13 we can use him as something more than just a battering ram and I think that will suit him a lot better. As a prop, I don't think he offers any more than Fash or Brown.
Evans only has one more game to miss I believe so that's one back. What is the latest on Taylor and Bowden?

| Quote: Riderofthepalehorse "I’m probably in the minority for this opinion, but hey ho.
Gales red card, I thought he tried to anticipate were the ball was going a split second after JL kicked it, it seemed like a complete accident to me, if the ball bounces of Gales foot and he picks it up, no problem.
Not sure he’s ever been that type of player, footballers may deliberately rake opponents shins, not so much in our game, he’s been accused of all sorts of thuggery which is way over the top, miss timed at worst. I’m sure the disciplinary will adjudicate with their usual fairness. And hope Lomax recovers quickly.'"
Exactly this, Lomax carried on playing with his "horrific " injury and played in the second half.

| Thought the Wynne yellow was harsh. When you consider Cheyse Blair got away with 2 similar tackles for Cas.
Gale made contact with Lomax, but it was minimal. I can still see him coping a few games.
I think Lomax made the most of it with the cameras being there. He was soon up as soon as Gale went off.
That being said, Saints were far and away the best team. Line speed superb, they must be the best defensive side in SL ever. Walmsley and Matautia were the pick for me.
Dodd looks a special talent too. The four peat is on.

| Quote: HFCHU8 "No complaints on the red card for Gale from me, the way the game is currently going, you’re asking for a red doing something as stupid as that.
I’m hoping the fact it was relatively early in the game and lack of contact might get him away without a ban, but I doubt it. Probably 2 games like savelio'"
I doubt the time of the incident makes any difference. The grading bands are
A NFA - 1 match
B 1-2 matches
C 2-3 matches
D 3-5 matches
E 4-8 matches
F 8+ or suspension period

It’ll be interesting to see how the Discipinary Committee deal with Gale.
I can’t recall seeing a player going in to challenge a kicker with their foot in all my time watching the game.
That said, it wasn’t a two footed lunge and he did look like he was pulling his foot away. However, he still made contact.
It was a stupid challenge and I suspect he’ll get two matches, but it still wouldn’t surprise me if they gave him more as they have nothing to benchmark it with. Hopefully, the fact he got sent off in the first half, might be taken into account with any ban.
I hope Lomax is ok. Some are saying he milked it. However, Gale made contact with his foot and he received a cut to his shin. Anyone who’s played sport will know that that’s instantly painful. A bit like when you stub your toe, instant pain, but a minute later you’re ok to carry on.

| Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "I said this last season too, Sao isn't good enough. Not only does he concede too many penalties (I don't think he did yesterday tbf) but his go forward is non existent. The good packs dominate him easily. He had less than 3 metres per carry yesterday. If that's the standard then give me a SL contract now.
Reynolds wasn't good yesterday, but I'm not sure any half back could be with forwards carrying like that.'"
Agree about Reynolds, hard to play with the circumstances, needs to step up soon though.
I disagree about Sao, think he is a very good player who offers good go forward, but like the rest of the team discipline needs to improve. Got dominated yesterday, but usually does well with meters, great against Wakey.

Easily the best forward in SL, shame he hasn't the appetite for a spell in the NRL, would go really well there

I've just seen him be totally ineffective too often now. Satae, regardless of the general team performance, is always a handful. Sao gets dominated by the good packs. I'm not sure when his contract is up, but I definitely wouldn't be renewing. I think he's been very disappointing.

For his faults, we are a much better team with Connor in it.'"
But Connors passes aren't always great
He lost us the semi final by passing It straight to Grace ( surely you must remember it ) or you part of the "Connor crew" that wierdly ignore it
Connor also cost us the match at Wigan by giving a stupid penalty in front of the sticks with 10 minutes to go

Er you not see the weather
Every player on the pitch was making basic errors even saints did
Not one of our players was above 5/10 yesterday you wouldn't play any of them again if based on yesterday
What did Connor do last week except for the ridiculous red card and getting done for pace AGAIN by Johnstone?
Everytime someone breaks the line they all do Connor for pace even Liam farrell did
But people ignore all Connor f*ck ups
