Leeds have played Wakey on Boxing Day for the last 15 years. They seem to have done fairly well out of starting their pre season friendlies early.

"Just a money spinner"? Were you expecting Santa to have dropped an envelope stuffed with tenners through the door on th previous day or did you not realise th club just might need to generate cash to operate?

I was responding to someone who stated that boxing day games are too early to be an effective part of pre season. The Leeds example suggests otherwise.
