And im not just on about his proffesionalism , he was poor for us season after season, and we made excuses for him, tried building a team around him, because of his so called potential!!! And its just never worked, its held us back for seasons. No radford shouldnt of been thrown in the deep end as head coach, season ticket sales and the past 2 seasons of awful rugby proof that. 2 games in and you cant but give radford credit for the performances, and long may that continue. You need to let the gentle thing go, he didnt do bad, and the way the team got rid of him was a disgrace'"
Radford had to be in the job to be where we are now. Signs where already there last year. We've just added more quality to take us too the next level.
Gentle assembled a pack of o Carroll pitts Johnston aspinwal(although latter did us well tbf) let lynch go(thought he was finished - since had two great cas years and signed till 201icon_cool.gif. Signed macdonnall and Miller and arundel on silly monies. Was ready to sell Shaul. Wanted to bring in an ozzie winger instead of using lineham. He was terrible for us. I knew he was leaving whilst on the way TO the cup semi. That's how much of a mess we was

| Quote: Tinkerman23 "You have to give credit to radford and all concerned for the way they've prepared the team pre season and for the first 2 matches. I personally believe getting rid of westerman was the masterstroke, just wished they'd it done 2 seasons ago. The recruitment looks outstanding, leaders all over the field, and a lot of very proffessional rugby league players, plus strength in depth. Hopefully radford as finished is apprenticeship, which shoudnt of been done whilst head coach of a super league team, it was at times unbearable. But signs are good, hes got his squad, full of true pro's, which i think has been his aim. Lets hope things continue in this manner win or lose, because I think Radford and this team could do something special this next few seasons, carry on with the style of rugby and the passion for the shirt, and the fans will come back. Its so so good been excited about watching the black and whites again'"
Bang on Tinkler.
Getting rid of our most unprofessional player in Westy whilst getting some £ in return was some decent business. Our attack looks so much better without him having his hands on the ball each tackle slowing things down.

To be honest, really cant be bothered to go over the same old, same old, people see it in differant ways. The only thing I will say, is that I muched prefered watching and paying out my money to watch gentles team , then I have the last 2 seasons. But thats all done now, and im jumping on the radford band waggon ha, at least to the cas game anyway

| Based upon this season, we appear to have progressed and Radford has to take credit for this, along with the rest of the coaching and recruiting team.
I also remember Agar winning the first five games, before fading. However, I know it's early, but the manner in which we have won our games so far this season feels different.
My benchmark for Lee Radford as a Coach comes from how I felt about the state of the team last Good Friday. We'd sacked Gentle as 6th place and Wembley was not deemed good enough. Radford clearly courted the job and then was backed to the hilt. Two seasons going backwards seemed a fair enough period to assess his ability.
I like others wanted a change, but it was Adam Pearson's decision to stick with Lee.
This season's early signs are that the defence is strong, we have numerous attacking options, are scoring quite freely, have a kicking game and better game management. We also have more strength in depth. I can't recall any discussions last season on whether Mini or Ellis should miss out on the 17.
Yes, we may be just a two game wonder, however the way we are bossing the games, I'm expecting more of the same v Cas. Looking at the next few fixtures suggests our league position on Good Friday may be much better than it was last year.
A fair assessment of our initial progress this season will be after the Easter programme. However, I've more confidence in our ability than I have for a long time and that feels good.

I agree Jake but the confidence is oozing from this team and that alone is worth points.
If we have convincing wins against Cas and Wigan there wont be any teams that will look forward to playing us especially when you have Big Frank and Gaz Ellis coming off the bench together.

If we beat cas and wigan then we'll have every reason to look forward to the rest of the season confidently. Things looking good so far but we shouldn't get carried away

| Bandwagonners, how utterly ridiculous! We've won two games (albeit convincingly) on the back of two absolutely dreadful seasons with the direst rugby for years.
Harsh criticism of the coach and owner for why we were not competing and playing more gash than good is more than justified as was rhe call for the coach to be rid of.
personal vendetta, doom and gloom you have no idea what you are talking about. Do you sit back as an investor and watch silently as the person/persons running things turn a team going forward into one close to being relegated and last season play incredibly poorly aside from a short period of player led change?
Just because you disagree with others doesn't allow you the scope to be a complete troll of the worst kind!
Fast forward 4 months, we have the best squad assembled probably since the 80s, it's even better than the 05/06 squads iMHO.
AND importantly the way we play, the professionalism, the preparation so far seems to be miles in front of the last two seasons so we are able to hopefully maximise the talent we have.
So far that's a big plusand credit to the coach and his team and whatever it is that has changed things we as fans can say yes, this is what we wamt, attacking, thoughtful, professional rugby with desire from players that has beomg missing.
I'll support that (not that i ever stopped) and applaud the club as a whole for the changes (signings/direction of playing etc)
Does that make me or anyone else impressed with the changes, excited with how we're playing bandwagonner's...no.
More of the same please Mr.Radford

Spot on, and I'm not too sure a two week break is what we need at this time.

| I don't think anyone's suggesting a bronze statue outside the KC for our coach. If we'd started badly, he'd have been absolutely slated on here. But we haven't, so maybe he gets cut a little slack.
