It's almost like 'we were cr@p' deal with it.
I don't particularly want him ranting and raving but it would be nice to know he was peeved with another poor showing and that it's gonna be addressed

Thing is it's not gonna be addressed. Other than the odd game, last night is pretty symptomatic of the last season and a half under gentle. My measure of a good coach/manager is that he gets the players he has playing at near their best on a regular basis and gentle hasn't done that consistently since he took over.

Last season he had a lot to contend with and did well in shifting some rubbish on. This season he has pretty much his own squad and we look devoid of ideas, lack leadership and direction on the field, our defensive line speed is poor, we lack aggression in attack and defence and the players look like they don't even see each other between games.

I desperately want gently to succeed, but as the weeks go on and we see the same garbage being dished up, you have to start questioning whether he can actually do anything about it. Coaching is more than just getting the best players you can and throwing them together on the pitch each week

I think our lack of size is a factor in that, though. I said in another post that with our relatively small forwards we need them to be at maximum enthusiasm/attitude/whatever you want to call it to match the opposition. As soon as it drops even a little bit we're steamrollered as we simply don't have the muscle to fall back on.

Yep, and tthe sad thing is that your ex-best mate Rich's team wanted it more than our shower last night, it was plain for a blind man to see.
Maybe RA's motivational skills are superior to our current incumbent?

The team is like the supporters on here think should win every thing , giving no respect to the other teams .

I,ve just watched the game again this morning & it's just like watching dumb rugby we,ve been turning out for the last 5-6 years only the shirt designs have changed. Adam is going to have some serious decisions to make before too long if he wants to turn our club into a winning brand.

Good enough to turn up and win attitude, like you've already won or deserve to win. Thats why your fans boo'd, they believe it too. When thats addressed you might get the joy back. Dropping Yeaman tried to prove they need to play for their place. Might need something just as drastic, shame you have Hudds next, not sure anyone can afford to be dropped, pretty sure the fans expect to win this one.

Not sure about egos but the number of individual errors made by players across the team is disgraceful. Tickle has been out a long time but his inability to catch the ball followed swiftly by his inability to defensively line up one on one epitomises the total lack of desire and attention to detail that seems to afflict players who pull on an FC shirt..

We are a poor team going forward.
Our defence has levelled that out to some extent but we really are a poor SL team with ball in hand.
Would be great to see Gaz Ellis posing a threat going forward instead of frantically running round like a madman defending our line.

Ellis's defence is fantastic but in attack he has been quiet. Although, the line he ran for the try (one where he 'offloaded') was a good line that Miller put him through

We look like a group of individuals, there is no team unity, nobody looks motivated.
When McDonnell was 'speared', nobody ran in & confronted Poore & Aiton.Players stood around with hands on hips, speaks volumes for mine.

Gentle maybe, is a good technical coach, but as a Manager for mine, the jury is still out - its his job to shape/mould a group of players into a team.

Looking at the bigger picture, he should the season out, bigger question is,

What will be the reaction of Adam Pearson,IF this season dies a slow death & we limp out of the play-offs & Challenge Cup?

Aiton totally out enthused us.
A little who was putting himself about but oh to have someone doing the same for ourselves.

We maybe do lack some size, but the frustrating thing is knowing we can perform with the team we have. There wasn't complaints regarding our pack when we went on a 9/10 winning run. Our attitude stinks at the moment, which is what we need to sort out.
