| If we score a couple of quick tries, then I feel we will be going for the record. We have the far better team and coach.
However, if Rovers score first, I feel it will be a real battle as it will knock our confidence and we will start throwing the ball around too much.
I think if we we stay cool and control the game we should be ok. We got away with our lack of composure in the first half at Warrington, we can't afford to let Hull KR sniff blood.

| well given our magic weekend track record vs hkr i have no confidence in it being a spanking. like others have said id take a 1 point win. we have blown it too many times when weve expected to win, (like even the players expect a walk in the park). and it is a derby.
remember wembley 83, that was supposed to be a walkover but we didnt half come up short that day.
we also blew it last season when we had a good lead n not too much time left
playing with confidence is a positive, over confidence is a recipe for disaster and too many are being too bullish about this game.
i hope the players are keeping their feet on the ground

| Hopefully we will win, however I remember when Rovers first came up we all thought it would be an easy 8 points that season (we had 4 fixtures that season). Every season since they have proved that Derbies are always unpredictable.
Rovers have a knack of always raising the game for us, especially when Morgan was in charge.
I'm confident that we really seem to be hitting some form and our injury situation has improved. If we click on the we could win easily. However, no game is ever in the bag. Last Magic Weekend we were sitting very pretty around the 65 minute mark until Man of the Match Ganson and Hodgson saw them home.
Saying that Pete Gentle has got us playing some of our best rugby for a few years, so I'll back us to win and hopefully win well this time.

| think this will be Rovers' grand final, so we need to keep our heads screwed on and feet on the ground, and go out expecting them to throw everything they possibly can at us for 80 minutes.

| I can't believe the title of this thread . Just because we won last night and yes a very good win at that and a brilliant performance , it doesn't give us a right to just think we only have to turn up on Saturday . Derbys games are so hard call , and I can't see rovers just turning over . Yes we're playing well and have the better players but for people to be expecting a record score are a bit naive in my eyes . I'd be happy with a scrappy 2 point win .

| This will be rovers' chance to turn their season around. If we're on our game we'll win no matter what they do but if we're off then they will probably take the points

well, considering Silverwood was going to give Warrington victory on Friday and, erm, didn't, maybe we should stop worrying about the referee and just play the team in front of us?

| If Rovers raised their game and beat us on Saturday, I'd actually be vexed off if I was a Rovers fan. After some of the drivel they have served up over the last couple of months, i'd want to know why all of a sudden they can lift it for the derby!!

| Fingers crossed for Saturday Rovers seem to raise their game for us and for the Magic games.
Didn't we beat Cas up in Bonnie Scotland one year for Magic?

| In response to the thread title: I'd love that but not sure it will happen.
We got a good win on Friday night and it was good to see that huddle at the end keeping the players feet on the ground. I don't think we'll have any problems getting ourselves up for the derby this time and with Holdsworth and Ellis playing and the form Horney's in, I believe we have a good chance.
But Rovers posted a big score past Wakey yesterday which will give them confidence going into this game. And we all know they never have any problems getting themselves up for a derby.
As it's a derby then form will go out the window. It will boil down to which team wants it more on the day. I hope that's us.

| Fingers crossed for me, no over expectation in my mind. If we play like against wire, then we should do it. But you never know how we or rovers will turn up

| This game will solely go down to how Rovers perform in defence. If we defend as normal then its a mute point, game will be over before half time.
If we avoid giving penalties away and putting the ball down we will have more ball in hand and less opportunity to concede points. Not the worst defence high up the field, but on the line is woeful.
FC's defence will stand up, Rovers will score points if down that end, makes for an interesting game. Not anymore confident because of yesterdays result, not really confident at all. Goes one of 2 ways, Rovers sneak a win (obviously my preferred) or FC run away with it. Defence, errors and discipline are key, unfortunately 9/10 Rovers are awful on all 3.
