Until he stops retailiating he isn't going to get anything from the refs. If he can curb his temper then the penalties will start coming our way. Maybe agar can sit down and discuss it with cummings

Poor old Tongan Mafia, how dare anyone stand up to their mighty aggression? Rovers give some medicene back and now the coach bleats in the local rag. Isn't this exactly what you all slated Galea for doing last weekend?

Pathetic whinge by a pathetic coach.'"

I applauded Rovers agression, it was a real battle and made for an enjoyable derby. That said there is playing hard and then playing illegally. Rovers got away with a few cheap shots on Lauaki.

Agar is not purley defending Lauaki rather than moaning about decisions he never got.

Where as whingy Galea blamed the whole defeat on you not getting decisions depite a 16-9 penalty count in your favour, de dums you lost get over it, there is another cup final for you before the season ends!

Had it not been for Silverwood's pathetic refereeing of the game and his almost obsessive awarding of petty penalties to the mighty HKR, the "knock on" would have been irrelevant and the score would have certainly reflected the difference in quality of the two teams much more closely.

bit of a difference between a refereeing mistake and a playing mistake

anyway, you lost by a lot more than a knock on.

as PaulM says, it's in the past now.

Passion and aggression are one thing we all love to see, but dirty cheap shots and illegal tackles by HKR spoilt the occasion and u got your just desserts because of it. Hull were outstanding in defence and given another 80 minutes your lot still wouldnt of scored..

We never lost the game due to agression or a slight knock on, we lost the game due to slow hand sin passing and a lack of options in attack. We made it very easy for Hull to defend their line (which has been evident in most of our games this year) and to FC's credit they did it well. The pens (although you may say petty) where due to leg pulls and holding down, as you point out the number of them was high, which begs tyhe question why wasn't anyone binned for constant offences.

Back to Lauiki, which bit of my original post do you think was wrong, if the guy doesn't learn he'll get slaughtered by the refs this year, suppose you were all calling to be bottom of the fair play league this year, with him you might just have found your key to that goal.

If you had played rugby, moved the ball out wide and kicked to the corners instead of niggling and trying to beat us up you may well have won. Morgan clearly got his game plan wrong.

I agree with you about Lauaki. He now has an (undeserved) reputation and will be targeted by opponents and closely watched by referees. Its up to him and the coaching staff to address his attitude and self-discipline if he is to be more of an asset than a liability.

Well done Agar for backing him. I hope Hame continues to play in exactly the same way he has being doing, defending himself when he needs to.

The only people to blame are Lauaki himself, and to a lesser degree, the refs.

The refs need to give the guy some protection, constant niggling/cheap shots that aren't being penalised would begin to wind any player up.

Ultimatley it's Lauaki himself who needs to keep his cool and get some self disclipline. In every game he's played he's been shown up as an easy guy to wind up.

I don't blame Rovers one bit for trying to get a reaction from him. If Lauaki played for Rovers I'd expect our players to go out there and wind him up, gaining penalty after penalty, as it's so easy to do.

What a load of old tosh. You cannot pick up one thing for losing a game unless that thing happened in the dying seconds. If you had scored the last quarter of the game would have been a different game.

As for Agars comments I agree with them and Lauaki has not really got such a bad record regarding penalties.

Totally agree. Deserves credit for publically backing his player as a good coach should, and in a way that comes across well IMO.

We had enough field position to put the game to bed, we seem incapable of moving the ball out wide (at pace) and having meaningful kicks to the corners this year. In games in which we have been far less intense in we have still failed to score many points, and thats against far worse sides definsively than FC.
