| Echo the comments so far, love the way he runs the ball in like a prop and will NEVER forget his try in Cardiff - bravery, skill, improvisation all in one move. Good luck.

| Sad news but unfortunately the correct decision.
Motu has been a great servant for the club and should leave with his head held high. As with all Hull fans I will never forget that try in the 2005 Cup Final.
I hope the club give the crowd a chance to acknowledge him before he leaves.
I don't think I'd like to see him sign for another SL club though.

I feel the same, but good luck to him where ever he turns up. He gave probably the best performance i've ever seen by a Hull player that night we hammered Leeds at headingly.
Super player, lovely bloke. All the best Motu and thanks.

| Top professional and role model for our kids coming through, iff all the squad had his attitude to training and looking after his body we would still be challenging near the top.
Was possibly the best utility player in the world when we tried to make him full back.
Berrigan is quality, but would we have been better keeping Motu at hooker and signing a class scrum half instead of Berro and also of course kept Briscoe at full back.
Good luck for the future you will always welcome back by the faithfull (possibly on the coaching staff)??

| Been a very good player for us over the last 5 years, however injuries to his knees seem to have taken their toll on him, correct decision to release him but he leaves some great memories especially his try at Cardiff and his performance at Headingley when he virtually single handed ripped Leeds to pieces.

| Gutted that he won't be staying at the club as he's been my favourite player while he's been here. It's the right decision to let him go, but hopefully he can get fully fit and stay that way, find another club hopefully in the NRL seeing as that's what he wanted to do. Always played with 100% commitment.
Used to love how he seemed to just run at players and try and run through them regardless of wether they were a winger or prop. Never brassed (sp) himself for the impact and just carried on running as if there was no one infront of him.

| I'm gutted to see Motu leave.
The guy has been a great player for us,an ultimate proffessional and he's a real gentleman too.
It's a pity that other members of the squad could'nt follow his lead both on and off the field.
Thanks for the memories Motu and all the very best to you and you're lovely family in the future.

| Quote: The Dentist Wilf "Great player, great try at Cardiff, and if ever you need reminding about how he always gave his all, just remember this year at Leeds when after 13 games out he returned to play a man of the match performance. Very very unlucky with latest injury, although I think he was always going home after this season.
Good Luck Motu, great player and thouroughly good bloke!'"
He was never going home after this season.
His eldest child is starting school in hessle in september.
