I [ithink[/i this means that it won't help out on out cap space for this season.

Why have they gone now with the business end of the season fast approaching? Hadley would have been more than useful.

It does make you wonder, if other clubs would be so magnanimous with local rivals.

If they have gone out on loan then surely they don't count on the cap for the time they are away from the club?

I'm pretty sure they still count on the cap, otherwise it would be too simple for clubs to exceed the cap.

The advantage is rovers will pay the players 3 months salary each, rather than us paying it, so instead of being out of pocket by £25k, say, we'll have £25k in the bank.

If its a live cap, surely it will just change all the time as long as you don't exceed the cap, hence it been a live cap. So for example today we are at 1.8 million, tomorrow after players leaving the live cap will be 1.7 million. That's how I would of thought it worked anyway, otherwise what does live cap mean. Of course could be completely wrong

The players are still on our books, but loaned out. The cap is the top 25 earners + anyone else who plays, so Hadlee and Litten are still counted.
If they didn't count, we could have loaned out Dawson for the season, and used his cap space on someone else.

Live cap means adjustments are made when someone outside the top 25 plays for the first time in the season, or when a player is no longer registered with the club.
