| For all his offensive prowess his defence has not improved in vital areas since he left us. Personally I think we got the best of him and would be very surprised to see him get near the England squad again unless he improves in that area.

| We had to let Jones-Bishop go because Briscoe was given the right wing slot. Jones-Bish was good in attack and bad in defence... but not this bad.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

| Feel for him because he's such a nice lad. He's a shadow of his former self on the pitch and his confidence is completely shot.

| The OP is very harsh on Briscoe. After all it's only a couple of years since he scored five tries in Leeds' 50-0 Wembley hammering of Hull Kingston Rovers.
Tom's a good lad and ylou'd have to have a cold heart not to feel for him this evening.

| He must have just wanted to get off the pitch at the end, but did you notice he took the trouble to come and applaud the Hull fans?

| I'm not criticising him in attack. Snead picked on him because he's kept making the same mistakes he makes every week. Unfortunately for Leeds, Handley isn't much better under the high ball.

Good on him applauding the Hull fans after the game
I always liked Tom as a player when he was with us and respected his decision to move to Leeds, as he always gave his all to Hull even after we knew hew was leaving.
His five tries at Wembley will also keep him in high esteem with Hull fans.
It was no slight on his ability that we targeted him today. Any player who drops the first kick is going to be peppered for the rest of the game.
He doesn't deserve the criticism from Leeds fans and other than the three kicks and well taken tries, no Leeds player offered any real threat today.

| Had a bad game but that doesn't make him a bad player. Good try record and has a lot of strengths to his game. Rightly targeted by Sneyd - was either a pre-game tactic or excellent in-game thinking from Sneyd/Ellis/Radford to make that call.
Will always have a bit of admiration for Tom - seeing him develop from a youngster at the club, scoring long range tries for fun (including in derby matches) and also THAT tackle against Peter Fox, which is now only the second best tackle in my time watching Hull. And, as mentioned above, the five tries against our lesser neighbours.

He was fine when he left us and didn't hear any Leeds fan complain after his five try haul at Wembley in 2014.
What have you done to him?

| I'd take Tom back in a shot. All that's lacking there is confidence. I've seen him do things in his time with hull that no other winger in the league is capable of. A full pre-season under Radford would do him a world of good. Just hasn't worked out for him at Leeds, still managed to pick up a treble mind.

| Agree with the above, still a good player in there, just lacking in confidence, probably needs to leave Leeds.

| Remember "Ah... Briscoe"? That tackle on Peter Fox is still one of the most sublime moments I've witnessed watching Hull.
That said, I did feel a bit snooty yesterday. I did wonder fleetingly if he regretted leaving for glory.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |
|
| ... someone has posted that his shoulders are crocked and he can't easily lift his arms above his head.
