I thought they were outplayed in the first half, and unlucky with some decisions in the second. I dont think theyre gonna be as unbeatable next year with losing their halfbacks and jeff lima etc

I think that we can all agree that Matty Smith and Blake Green are a considerable step-down from Tommy Leuluai and Brett Finch.

I don't think that Lima will be as big a miss for them. He's been fairly inconsistent and, by all reports on here, they've signed Scott Taylor as a replacement so I think that they're all-right there.

However, I think that Carmont will be a big loss to them. He's been one of the best centres in SL over the last few years and they will lose a lot with his departure.

I think that we'll still see them in the top 4 or so, but I don't think that they'll get the League Leaders' Shield next season unless they make a couple more good signings.

Leeds out played Wigan for most of the game, apart from the period in which they scored their two tries from some good momentum.

All in all, I thought the better team on the night won. Tomkins was a huge miss for them, but the same could be said of Leeds missing McGuire.

Defence was great by Leeds too. Wonder when the last time Wigan were restricted to just 2 tries in a game

Leeds dodged a bullet when Hall blatantly held down Goulding at the death that's for sure. Richards would have kicked that penalty.

Maybe, but they also got a huge slice of luck when the ref missed a knock on in the lead up to Richards try, so swings & roundabouts.

Wane totally got the team wrong last night and its great to see things go against them as he gets well riled up.Wigan just havent got the strength in depth and a few of the players have seemed as though have gone backwards under Wane.They are also losing a lot of very good players and have replaced them with mediorce players.

Two things stand out from last night.
1, Wigan are losing a glut of quality players and they will be far from champions unless they recruit and replce with similar or better quality that is certain.
Their best prop , playmakers (both) and one of SLs best centres all leaving at once... thats one hell of a break up of a team IMO.
2, I feel really bad for the young lad at full back and hope it does not ruin his confidence as that mistake cost them the game at the end , hope the seniors protect him...

Agree Wigan wont be same next year, you cant take the heart out of yur team and expect it to run smoothly. Dont get me wrong they are still good but IMO wont win the league. Also they shud of played Matty Russell at back, he's had the experience of big games, but he's probably packed and ready for the sun (if he goes)
I reckon Saints will be the team to beat and Wire again (if they can keep their old ones fit) depending on our 'other' half back we will be knocking around there with leeds and wigan. Also reckon Catalan will miss Robinson and will slip back down the table.

Yet again in a big game situation Leeds came to the fore, in particular their first-half performance. Some of their defence was phenomenal. I thought they deserved to win the game last night.

Some of Shaun Wane's team selection was difficult to understand. I know he did play long minutes, but I thought Matty Smith would have started. And no disrespect to him, but Pat Richards would have started full-back instead of Jack Murphy for me. But, Leeds were the better side overall.
