We came home from Bradford on Sunday night about 2315 and it was closed.but it only took us minutes then back onto motorway.still got home 0015.Then I watched the Hull Game It was just after the A1 turn off

Closed westbound at J26 / J25 (Bradford / Brighouse) from 8pm so won't affect FC fans as KO at Wire is 6.45pm.
"The M62 westbound will be closed between junctions J26 and J25, due to roadworks, from 8 pm on 22 September 2012 to 8 am on 23 September 2012"
Eastbound heading back to Hull appears OK

I would recommend anyone going over to Warrington Saturday sets off in good time... It recently took me just over 3 hours to get to Manchester airport (plus almost 5 hours back) all due to the roadworks at Brighouse on the M62 Westbound... I would say make a day of it, and don`t even attempt the "just in time" mentality.... and expect a late one getting home too.

Common sense to allow extra time for the jouney, buy I use this section of the M62 almost daily and not too bad outside of rush hour (barring accidents / breakdowns that could happen any time). Wouldn't expect any problems coming back on Saturday night as traffic will be light, but going could clash with footy traffic, although having had a quick look at fixtures Leeds at home is the only fixture likely to have an impact as neither Manchester or Liverpool clubs have a Saturday home tie. Think the coaches are setting off a 3pm which is about right IMO. |

travelled over to widnes a few weeks ago, only took just under 2 hours, with a stop, saturday traffic is not as bad as weekday traffic on the m62, we'll be leaving at 3.30 on saturday

I was sure i looked on highways agency on sunday and it said the same as your link.
they must have had a change of plan
