Still don't get it, he is a winger so I don't understand why people want to turn him in to something else.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Its like the whole Horne been a fullback theory, he played their a few times as a youngster so he must be able to play there at super league level.

we all know Horne should be a 13!
agree with Paul (in part) Briscoe is a solid winger, no need to move him.

We're coming to make some noise!: |

Think he explained in his original post, the guy who coached him at Fev Lions states he was a brilliant full back. However he has become a very good (becomming a world class) winger but is a centre!
Now Phelps is at full back at least everyone can get back playing in their rightful positions...well kind of!

| Is El Gringo Richard Agar?
Personally I think O'Meley at FB is the way forward

| if u read the post i wasnt sayin put at fullback for good just until phelps arrived. Just felt hed be more effective there than in centres and whiting would play in his regular position where he is much more effective.

While I agree that moving him while he is establishing himself as a top class winger would be a bad move at the moment, I really don't see how you can pidgeon hole him as a winger, if the OP is correct he played his junior rugby at fullback, right up until he played first team he played at centre for Hull, and the coaching staff have said on numerous occasions they see him as a centre. I imagine if Briscoe played fullback his kick returns would be excellent, and having more time on the ball and in broken play would suit his game, I wouldn't rule him out playing fullback in the future. Slater, Hayne and Minnichello all played wing at various levels earlier in there careers before fullback.

Especially as he's at a club where wingers haven't been correctly used since The Boulevard (maybe Colin Best was, at a push)

He may well play centre at some stage, maybe in 2/3 years when he matures a bit more. He does not handle the high ball very well so I would not play him there.

| are you sure hes not on about jack briscoe ?????? and if any one could play full back instead of phelps it would have to be whiting, he gets caught out of position sometimes because its not his natural position but hes been safe as houses for us so far.

You mean the same way insist on playing Fitz at prop even though he has played most of his career as a 13 and he still says his best position is 13?

We play Fitz at 13 but just use him like a prop. He is best at prop these days or in the second row, 13 is the last place I would choose to play him.

Fitzgibbon's played most of his career in the 2nd row hasn't he? Moved to 13 as a 3rd prop in recent years as he's slowed down. I've never seen him play as a 'proper' 13, and I don't personally think he can.
