I hope not, both have scored an extra amount of trys than Tom but how many of them have been earnt rather than just walk in trys? I'd probably have Hall and Tom on the wing.

you only need to read the name of the coach to see how woefuly England are going to be, wasn't good enough for Bradford and gets the national job.

| Backs aren't as strong as I would have liked, but they're still no push over.
Widdop was great in his last international, Briscoe and Hall both play well domestically and internationally, Atkins and Goulding have been in good form and the Robinson/Brown and Tompkins pairing will definitely cause some trouble.
I'm confident they can do well.

Widdop was great - against a very poor French team. Briscoe's has similarly done well against Wales and France, but in his one int'l game against top line opposition it went badly for him. Hall, Atkins and Shenton - decent, but hardly scary. On hard pitches against Aus, New Zealand and even PNG, it is a worry.
The halfs offer some decent running, but don't have the best kicking games. There isn't anyone missing who'd make a big difference though.

yeah but smith and mcguire are not there to leave him exposed this year.
the only name missing is eastmond for obvious reasons

| Looks a badly under strength back line, Eastmond and Mcguire will be badly missed. Going wit a 7 & 6 of Robinson and Tompkins (not played there all year) iI fear what the aussies will do against them. FWIW Fox didn;t deserve a call up, so no surprise he's not in there. Think it may be a blessing in disguise in the long run because I don't see it being a glorious return.

| The selection that sticks out to me is Griffin. Not even been the best prop at Hudds. If you were picking 2 from there (assuming Crabtree's the other), Mason's had a better season IMO.

the forwards suprisingly are a worry, after Morley, Graham, Ellis and Burgess which should be the starting 8,10,11 and 12's whose going to come off the bench to add impact? Griffin? Fielden and Crabtree? Westwood and J. Tomkins are the better of the possible subs, i can see it being Morley and Fielden with Graham off the bench
