I had a nightmare getting them off my case when it came to cancel! STAY AWAY...Out interest why pay when you can get it for free???? pm for details.....

I'm thinking of cancellling for the simple reason that anything on setanta can be found through live feeds free on t' net, and good quality too.

I rang last week to cancel and they "did me a deal" of £1 off, so I said no, ok they could offer me £3 off "no thanks", ok he would have to check with his manager and I've now got it for £3.33 a month which I don't mind paying as I don't want to be sat at the PC watching online. But if the offer doesn't last I will be canceling (cancelling? sp)

Yep £3.33 a month for 3 months then just ring up again and threaten to cancel.

ive got setanta, im cancelling after the origin games because the NRL coverage is crap!

Best of luck if you have to try and cancel. It took me months to get them off my back (and I WAS paid up). You 'phone the Helpline(!) and they can't cancel the deal, you have to phone another number, but they take days to answer. You put it in writing, you stop paying and still they 'phone, sometimes three times a day to say that you have forgotten to pay. Explain for the umpteenth time that you don't want their service and you don't care if they block the signal. They then decide that they have changed the rules about how much warning they need despite having it all in writing that you have followed every one of their rules. At first when they asked why I wanted to cancel (last year) I was honest and said that I wanted the NRL coverage not all the 20/20 Cricket. I was told that the cricket was exciting etc. Much as I like cricket I wanted the NRL. Next time I lied and said I was leaving the country for a year, they came up with the 'bright idea' could a neighbour come in and watch instead. Eventually they cut you off. Result. Then you get loads of mail taunting you about all the sport you are missing. Steer well clear. Not worth the hassle.

Footy show was free on Setanta for a while ( picked that up on here ).

Last two weeks just got the subscribe screen - is it still free even if just on one showing a week ?

if you watch it live at 10pm on a thursday it's free. I have done this since the first show and its worked everytime apart from the one time when it was on setanta 2
