We tried but his parents wouldn't let him live over here on his own . Good player though.

I'd have Bomber over what we currently have. Although in the make believe world were we can get any coach there are obviously better options.

10603.jpg Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?:10603.jpg |

People are obsessed with the past, and they look at it with rose tinted glasses. McRae offered less to this club than Kear but was fortunate he had a good relationship with the board so they let him go out and sign quality players without asking questions. The problem was he couldn't coach the players he had into a successful side. If Kear or Sharp had been given the same freedom as McRae we'd have been very successful.

At least he signed quality players, have you seen some of the dross we've brought in since? Such as Kear's Tommy 'the next Keith Senior' Saxton.

That was my point, the board allowed him to do that. Whereas they haven't allowed it since.

I was under the impression that Kear chose his own players, he just didn't negotiate prices as McRae did. And it was at his own behest that the change was made.
