I've been a passholder for near enough 30 years. I cannot remember feeling like this about my club, or the game in general. This post will be a bit unstructured, and ranty, but if you can't offload on a forum, where can you?

I actually feel a bit sorry for Hodgson - Covid, mass injuries, poorly managed salary cap, trying to get some new players in etc. But...the style of rugby is appalling. Our discipline is embarassing. Purtill - no idea what he does.

In terms of the players...

Connor - needs to keep his frigging mouth shut, texting Radders all week - just focus on the game you idiot.
McIntosh - didnt look fit, passed his fitness test, but didn't look at it.
Mitch - maybe one of our best tonight, but lacks that spark top centres need. Good squad player
Wynne - his head is going to completely ruin his career for me - great ability, but he's either sulking that his best mate has been shown the door, or he's doing *something* away from the pitch that is affecting his head!
Simm - meh
Gale - Retire mate - you're done
Taylor - Retire mate - you're done. He is soooo sloooow, like running in treacle, then does slow leg drive, which just slows everything down
Houghton - bit better tonight, but he needs to be rotating the hooking role
Lovodua - Honestly, the last 6-8 weeks, he's been pretty poor for me. He isn't a half, and he definitely isn't a 2nd row. If rumours are that he refuses to play 9, then what can we do with him?
Lane - doesn't look at it this year at all
Johnstone - waste of a shirt
Evans - Decent 1st half, good offloads
Sao - reckless at times - probably a 3-4 game ban coming now as well
Brown - poor tonight, but got a great future

Then it comes to RL itself. The refereeing is just abysmal - players moaning, diving, complaining. Video Ref decisions taking ages, the try or no try decision as it goes up is pathetic. SKY commentary is shocking, no excitement from them, getting players names wrong etc. It all just feels like its dying a slow death at the moment

Someone wants to save the season with all these loans but it can’t be Brett. Aggregate score of last five is 68-200. He really should do the decent thing.

To be quite honest I’d take the tea lady as a head coach instead of Hodgson. I’d hoped he would move us forward but it’s there for all to see that he just isn’t capable. He’s a nice guy but sadly maybe too much for a coach.
Nothing is changing other than we are getting worse. Granted we are up against it with injuries but it’s not not that that the problem it’s the manner of defeats and the second half was a total embarrassment almost as if the players couldn’t be d or olayed to get the coach sacked.
After supporting this club since being a young kid and now in my 50’s I actually feel I’ve had enough of seeing such served up, when do you say enough is enough?

He got the sack because Rovers couldn’t win a game, he. The only reason Rovers didn’t get relegated in his first season is because Toronto got expelled.

Gonna be an almighty battle to sell season passes next year, and the only way I can see there been a reasonable amount renew is if we making a coaching coach in the next few weeks and show a bit of promise to end the year. Really think we will struggle to hit 6k next year if there are no major changes.

Defence also terrible, 36 tries conceded in four games is a disgrace. I'm sorry, Ellis was a great captain but if he is our defence coach he needs replacing.

You missed out the part where he took them to 80 minutes away from the Grand final last season.

The 3 loanees were great for the Rovers game but have soon been dragged down to our level. At present none of them look worth keeping now. Walker I thought would be a good option but now Smith has come do we really need him? Might aswell let him go back and use Litten if an injury happens.

Well that was S Hite.. Even I can't stick up for that second half. Don't even know where to start. We looked really good for first 30 min. Then bang implode. I can see Hodgson will kop most of the flak and he deserves to kop some. But some of players need ucking off. Lack of heart my biggest problem. Taylor lane only because there's to many to name but there top of the board. Not gonna blame the loanees as there just got here. Bonaire I need a cuddle lol.

RL used to be an exciting sport that was just marketed badly, you'd get excited about a big game all week. Now it's a sanitised, poorly officiated game that is still badly marketed.

I am very concerned about the clubs future, tonight was the worst attendance for a long while (actual bums on seats, not tickets the club have given away and people who didn't turn up) and another Autumn of signing announcements and begging letters about being 'faithful' won't wash with a lot of fans anymore. It's no longer entertaining and fans have had enough.

The clubs a soft touch, we allow players to take the , you see the story's of them in certain bars ing about. You see the attitude at times on the pitch. We just do not trust youth there's no logical explanation on this planet why a coach would select Johnstone over Balmforth

Agree, Pearson had no more cards to play to rescue pass sales, no massive name NRL players will come to SL, he's tried the 'sell 10k and win a holiday' type things, we've had the 'back us in difficult times for Covid' there's only so many times you can use marketing to cover up a poor product

So, what happened with Connor when he came off? Hodgson was non-committal on both SKY and Humberside about if he would play next week...not injury related

Balmforth playing for Yorkshire this weekend. Not sure he would have made too much difference tonight.
