Only problem for the rovers chairman was the RFL had already made the proposal for us to merge with Gateshead, but the club wanted to wait and see what the outcome of the vote would be before making a decision on the RFL's proposal

Quote: Chris71 "Don't think anyone has said Rovers fans think Hudgell is a god, I myself have just pointed out some of the reasons that many Hul FC fans will not be losing sleep over your clubs demise from SL, the vast majority of it for me is down to Hudgell and the reasons i posted earlier. He has insighted a true bitterness between the clubs over the years and taken what was always a fierce rivalry but added a nasty and bitter edge to it because of his hatred of all things Black & White.

Decent Rovers fans amongst will know only too well that Hudgell is one of the major reasons for your clubs relegation and has left your club in a very precarious position with the reduction in income from next season in the Championship.

What would be a major worry for me if I were a Rovers fan is how you get back up into SL. This season will have been a eye opener to all SL clubs in the fact one of the SL clubs has been relegated for the first time since promotion/relegation has been brought back. SL clubs will now be looking to be even stronger so this doesnt happen to them and those that fall in to the middle 8's will want to ensure they stay in the top 4 so as not to repeat what happened to Rovers.'"

The middle 8s were designed to say to the championship clubs were not stopping you coming up but in reality they never thought it would happen until Leigh's owner bankrolled them at SL level and I don't see anyone including us been like that our only hope really is that SL club implodes the Dr has said he's staying but isn't going to fund them like previous seasons Wakefield are always skint

Quote: Keith_Lard "No, he said However, with much more investment still needed, Pearson says the club must get back towards the peak of 2007 – when the club averaged more than 14,500 fans – to balance the books.

HULL FC will record losses in excess of £300,000 this year – with new owner Adam Pearson blaming 'serious under-investment' in recent years.

Pearson, who bought the Super League club last July, says he has been shocked by the state of the club's finances since taking control.

And he told the Mail he bought a club which – despite being considered one of the most financially healthy in the game – was 'creaking at the seams'.

Poor performances on the field, combined with the tough economic climate, saw crowds fall significantly at the KC.

FC only managed to surpass 12,000 on three occasions last season, compared to eight times in 2010.

And Pearson says the club now faces a long and difficult road back to profitability as a result.

"Let's get one thing out in the open, this club does not make a profit as may have been reported," Pearson told the Mail.

"The club will be ending the financial year for 2011 by posting a loss of £300,000, and I can't see that changing in the short term because there quite simply wasn't enough investment going in.

"I now understand clearly why the previous board were attempting to sell, and that is because they were going to have to put some money into it.

"This club is creaking at the seams with under-investment and that has to be addressed."

Pearson has made sweeping changes at the KC Stadium, on and off the field, during his six months at the helm.

It has sparked renewed optimism amongst supporters, with more than 8,000 having bought season tickets for the forthcoming season.

However, with much more investment still needed, Pearson says the club must get back towards the peak of 2007 – when the club averaged more than 14,500 fans – to balance the books.'"

Forgotten how many times you have c&p this, but its plenty. Each time it gets spelled out but either you refuse to read or are simply not bright enough to understand.

14500 average was not a break even point.

Balancing books = posting profit to cover previous losses.

2 very different things. Most people get it.

Back OT, its was Hudgel who did state he needed 10k averages to break even, that was back in 2014, hows that coming along?

I should hope Koukash doesn't fund them as he has in the past, they'd get points deducted again. SL is supposed to be a level playing field. You have to cut your cloth. As has been stated, other clubs will be alert to Championship Play Offs now the worst has happened, seriously can't see it happening again. I was told Friday night that Marwan was going to ditch Salford if they went down and switch alliegance to Rovers!!!!!
