| First 20 widnes game plan was to try and blow us away, get a big lead, after they kicked dead we went upfield and scored, seemed to knock them off their game plan. As the game wore on our forwards and halves took over and controlled the game.
Bentham, less said the better. If Griffin got red for that tackle last week, brown shouldve received the same

Completely agree. If whiting had done it to brown he'd have seen red

| I can't believe we won tonight with the messiah Brown playing. Twice we've beat them this year, twice Brown's gone missing & twice Lineham's got a hattrick against them. Can't we play them every week?

He also said that the stats say only the whinos have thrown more passes than us. Amazing if right.

| Three aspects of tonights game which stood out for me was the great defense especially on our goal line , Play the ball was a lot quicker which was pleasing to see , Had Widnes on the back foot and caused them problems . Sneyd now starting to get going in that 7 jersey .
Well done Hull .

| Brown is a good player but that was a dominant performance by us once we held possession. That's about the best pack that we have that was out there today and after the initial errors were removed Widnes couldn't live with our halves playing in the space they had.

| Guts to come back after spending the first 15 minutes in the changing rooms. Brutal defence, especially Ellis and Houghton. Box of tricks from Sneyd, along with sensible game management. Hat trick for the flying pig. Fair night's works and a well-deserved 10 days off. Bit tired from all the clapping and singing though. Hats off to the Thursday night crew. In full voice tonight.

| Slow start but gradually found our feet. Excellent defense and some very good attacking sets. Play of the ball speed was very fast at points and it was good to see Lineham get another hat trick over them. Roll on Catalans!

Yes. We can only add to that with Catalans and Wakefield now though.

It is indeed. Should get another over Wakefield and bag an easy 4 points in one week in a few weeks time aswell.

| That's a very good effort to turn around what looked like a poor night in the offing after the first 20 odd minutes and a long long way from where were a couple of months back.
I feared after the derby the physical & mental effort could have taken a bit too much out of us and maybe it took some stern words here and there plus them making easy yards to shake us back to the game at hand.
Again some basic errors & two huge errors by Bent'ham could have put us to bed even after 1/4 match.
Chuffed for everyone that we've being able to dig in and scrap another win, not a great performance but it's a win, if we're due another good/great performance that means a win in France
I could take a loss in the league to Leeds (especially if we whack them in the CC ), do a double over Wakey, beat Rovers and Cas and who knows what happens against Wigan and we'll be back in the mix for sure.

| Very shaky start but once we cut out the errors we looked dangerous every time we attacked and the defence was immense. A very professional performance and two great points.
