| Cheers, never realised that, thought it was just the clubs actual outlay.

| Quote: *1865* "Full cap liability is met by the club the player is loaned to, this is regardless of what the agreement actually is.
For instance, let's say Miller is loaned to yourselves and the deal agreed is each club pays 50% towards his £100k wage, the full £100k sits on your cap.'"
I would imagine that will make it harder to shift him out then, I certainly wouldn't want 100K of our cap tied up on the likes of Miller.

Not so. Gwilym Lloyd said he would be back training for FC in pre season in a couple of weeks' time.

Miller spent time on dual contract with Doncaster this year and Leigh pursued the former Sydney Rooster and Wests Tigers player.
“We had a deal arranged with Hull for Jacob but he has decided to go home," Leigh head of rugby Derek Beaumont explained. '"

Well that can't be true unless:
1) "Going home" means "to Hull"
2) Lloyd was shiit-stirring making a headline out of a "contracted player in return for pre season training shocker", embellished with phrases like "frozen out". Good attempt to bury the bad news of replacing Josh Hodgson with an unknown player from the French equivalent of Batley, mind.

| Could just be a negotiating position. People sometimes use a friendly journalist to put their side across, I've heard. So while I don't think many doubt that he'll go home eventually, perhaps this an indication he'll do it on terms of his own choosing.

If he found a club, Hull could just pay him off outside the cap I think. It's more of an issue for Arundel, although at least he is fed-trained and can maybe be carouselled on the cap.

If by journalist you mean "apologist", if by "sometimes" you mean "regularly, consistently and over the course of a decade", and by "put their side across" you forgot to add "unchallenged, with no attempt to call out double standards and hypocrisy", I'd be inclined to agree.
I wish Miller well, unrealistic expectations have done for him. Don't blame him for digging his heels in with the six figure at stake.

It's only been about 3 years by my count. Perhaps we're talking about different journalists?
