Gutted for Joe Arundel that's a cruel blow for the kid. Concerned about our outside backs situation now too much disruption.

Even if we lined up with Briscoe-Yeaman-Whiting-Crookes (assuming there's no Crooks or Lineham as well as no Arundel) I'd be content. Whiting's defence will allay any worries over Crookes, and the pace of Crookes, Briscoe and Shaul backing up would allow us to break the line and clear the danger quickly.

Ideally though, one of Crooks/Lineham will figure. Both would be a godsend.

I hope Lineham is fit - as i think Shaul, Briscoe, Lineham, Houghton's dummy half running will be where we win this game

Got to have Whiting on the bench IMO to cover any disruption during the game

Not sure Whiting's as good in defence in the centres as some are making out. He can get stood up, plus we need him on the bench.

That might be Horne's role if needed.

Not sure you're allowed to say stuff like that, especially in cup final week.

if crooks is fully fit then gentle has a big call, even if fully fit hes not gonna be match fit and all that comes with it, timing etc, but then again gentle will know more about his fitness than anybody, tough call,

It'll be a shame if Lineham and Crooks don't get the chance on the big stage after the year they have had.

We can't afford to have Horne on the bench as that would leave us with only two interchange forwards (because Heremaia will be on the bench, too) which would weaken our pack.
Whiting is the better player for that cover player on the bench. He's a good forward but can also slip into anywhere in the side if an injury occurs.

I'm sure Crooks will play and I'm affraid I think Lineham won't make it. As for full back I would guess that if both Horne and Shaul are fully fit them Horne will get the nod simply because he was our best player befoe he went off injured and he has proved before that he can come straight back into big games. tough call on Shaul though. Big call the full back one but horney spent all Tuesday afternoon practising fielding high kicks so that might be a clue. But our best bench combination is for me definately two big forwards whiting and Azza
