I think we can register him as long as he's signed a valid contract which has been lodged with the RFL. IIRC Crocker was a duly registered player even though he never made it here.

Didn't PG suggest somewhere that he's been sent the "playbook" to study while he waits for the visa. He's been playing recently so should be relatively match fit, so no reason why he "couldn't" play.

Yeah I think I read/heard that too. Gareth Ellis said the play book was exactly the same as Wests but some had different names.

I am with you on this one. As long as he is match fit then no problem. At the end of the day, he will have to get used to the system and learn the calls like any other new player.

i was actually wondering what some on here had been smoking when they were saying that he'll need to wait for injury or drop in form to get his chance.... it was just begging for the roles to be reversed and we are waiting for him, coz not only has injury hit but form was off on the last outing too. typical eh

If Miller's here he should play, he'll have been sent our play book and is a much better option that Heremaia at half back, especially when it means we can keep two hookers.

This. If Horne wasn't injured then I would say let Miller settle down for a few weeks and ease him in gently but if there's a chance he can be over here for Friday's game then I say we give him a shot.
