dissapointed not to win in the end but when saints went 22-12 up i feared the worst so i'll gladly take a point

didnt see anything wrong with briscoes' ruled out try forward pass, at time it seemed thaler was looking for reasons to penalise us, especially in the first half, a few of us commented on how he allowed saints players to charge into mcdonnell, (my m.o.m) and crookes as they went up for the ball and allowed saints to score twice from the corrosponding plays.

still something missing from our attack, we had enough possession in the last 20 minutes to put saints to bed!

How did Willie look? I know Turner scored but sounded on radio as a Yeamo error although at the time the pressure sounded like a try would have come if not that tackle the next, did he do anything other than that?

It's interesting reading the thread on here and the threads from on the Saints board.

A draw, yet you would imagine we had took a fatal blow and Hull had won by a good 20 - 30 points.

We are a depressive set at times.

Quote: Mrs Barista "Reckon had Tickle played he'd have managed a 1-pointer, given his previous Thought we were a bit unlucky in the end. Nothing wrong with the Briscoe try. It will be intresting to see it on Hull FC TV. The first drop goal attempt by Holdsworth was a whisker away and just faded to the side of the post. After been 22-12 down and getting in a position to win the game i would gladly take a point from there anytime.

I would always take a point from Saints away - espescially having been 6-16 and then 12-22 down.

Quote: edinburgh yorkie "it`s the old war cry from knowsley road,FORWARD,FORWARD PASS.'"

Nah. We only shouted forward once! Our war cries are still buried under the rubble at Knowsley Road!

You played a good second half; we played a good first half. I guess both teams will hope as the season progresses that they will both be able to play two good halves in the same match.

Needless to say, we consider it a point lost given that we were leading for most of the match. I don't think we were helped by losing Wello to injury.

But it was a good match to watch, if not a frustrating one from a Saints POV.

Quote: Albion "Your ball movement was a joy to watch tonight, but there still seems to be something missing from your team. Just didn't have that killer instinct to win the game when you should have in that last quarter. We gifted you ball with some sloppy errors, but you just couldn't do enough to win.

Very promising to be a hull FC fan atm I'd say.'"

I thought we were a bit lateral at times moving the ball before we'd earned the right too. When we did we looked quite slick.

Briscoe no try was a poor decision.imo.

Bearing in mind the possession and position we had in the last quarter we should have won. It's disappointing that we couldn't organise ourselves better to drop a goal. That said you can never complain with a point at Saints and especially when we trailed by 10 twice.

The Whiting try was impressive, great dummy running by Green and Westy. Also liked the balls by Westy and DJ for the opening try.

We are getting better each week and that's what matters.

We did organise ourselves perfectly for a drop goal with 5 mins left on the clock. We forced a drop out and then ran a perfect set to set up a drop goal attempt from literally the perfect position. Turns out it was pure fluke as we then decided to throw it out wide and knocked it on. We then try kicking drop goals on our next 2 sets of possession from far worse positions and missed them both. A bit of brains and we'd have won that game.

having seen the tries again on superleague fulltime, Meli looked in touch for saints on their second try before grounding the ball and mcdonnell looked a tad offside for our second

great build up play in our first and game tying try

dissapointed they didn't show the briscoe 'no try' though

This is the worst saints side since SL began. We really should have taken the 2 points

Quote: shauney "Even 'Saddened!' on the Saints board said there wasn't a person in the ground thought it was forward other than Thaler. But then he's the only one that matters I was sat on the 20 metre line. I thought it was forward, and I do regard my self as being reasonably objective.

From our (Saints fans) point of veiw, i feel like we lost a point as we let the lead slip and our 2nd half completion rate was poor. However, to contrast, Hull made very few errors in the second half and put us under a lot of pressure and when, at 22all, you ran that ball on the 4th and knocked on, I think you did yourself out of the win.
