Fed up? At least his flight and accommodation were free.
Lynch, Whiting, Briscoe can go home with their heads held high. Turner can just go home.

So you think Sinfield,Mcguire,Burrows and Co are not on big money,in the greedy world of sport i very much doubt it.

Leeds wanted to sign Gareth Ellis.

Agree Turner (superstar) can go home, threw stupid passes to Crooks last week the looked daggers when he didn't/couldn't catch them.

It's a shame Sharp got injured cos I'd have played Crooks ahead of Turner weeks ago .

| Some of us are expecting too much too soon, any team missing the majority of their pack, not to mention players in other positions, will struggle against any side in SL yet alone one that has a very good home record as Les Cats.
As a Hull fan it's been tough over the past few years what with the old regime and I for one didn't renew my pass last year or this due to me losing some (not all) my passion for Hull, that said with Gentle and AP here this year I have started to get som of my passion back, despite some of teh setbacks we have had this year.
It's clear to see the players as a collective team are not good enough and it's going to take a bit of time to change this around, some will be done by chopping and changing players, the rest through effective coaching....both i believe Gentle and Pearson will deliver on in the medium to long term.
One final thought...in addition to the injuries the amount of player turnover over the past 6-8 weeks (including announcements of players leaving) is bound to unsettle any team, yes they should be professional but alas it's clear some of them aren't.

| I blame the coaching. Weve actually gone backwards since last year if thats even possible. The players dont have a clue or indeed any interest either. For me the players arnt good enough but the coaching is also to blame, i mean what has Gentle actually done since he got here? We went on a bit of run at the beginning of the season but was generally playing poorly then we got beat by Rovers at the magic weekend and weve gone from bad to worse since with Gentle seemingly not having a clue on what to do about it. Todays side on paper looked a decent one but the performance was dire and it is week in week out.
Sorry guys but weve got the wrong man in Gantle

leeds have won 4 of the last 5 grand finals. if they're not the model british RL club then I doubt we'll ever see one

Bit harsh on gentle as he is working with a poor set of players and has had horrendous injury problems to contend with. Personally, I don't really think anyone can say at this stage whether he's a good or a poor coach and we won't really get an idea until the back end of next year IMO.

gentle changed alot of stuff and it has worked well the lack of commitment from a certain few departing the club has to be questioned and with mckinnon going home has massively had an effect on the team. how you compare this season to last is ridiculous gentle had us playing quality rugby league at the start of season in attack and defence and well beating leeds and the noisy neighbours something last season we could not do we are in a massive blip no doubt but as for gentle not been right man please go support rovers every post you do is negative if we sign rangi you will be unhappy

I can't deny they have been successful, but they have certainly profited from teams like Saints and Wire flopping on the big occasion. They are still a good side, but the point I was making was that just a few weeks ago they were so poor that the fans wanted McDermott out, therefore I did not agree with the poster stating that they have built the 'perfect' squad at little cost. Players like Sinfield, McGuire, Webb and Burrow will be on big wages.

the injuries this season have been horrendous, and has reminded me of 2008 (without even the cup run to keep us happy!)
however questions have to be raised about how many physio's and conditioners we have had over the last few seasons, surely no other club has had so many?!

They've built a squad which has won 4 out of 5 titles within the confines of the salary cap. wire and saints have lost out to a leeds team that rises to the big occassions. What they pay individuals is irrelevant, but I bet that we're paying ellis more than any current leeds player earns

We no doubt paying Ellis higher than any member of the Leeds squad, but as a club that hasn't won the league for what 30 or so years, we have to pay that kind of money to attract quality.
Leeds players perform well on the big occasion and I give credit to them, but I still disagree with the other poster claiming that their players earn average wages, their big stars will be on big money.
