| The way he goes on about the stadium only been half to three-quarters full makes me think that he doesn't appreciate the support the team gets. There's two rugby league teams in this city so he should be thankful of the people that turn up....so he is been negative in that aspect.
With regards to him been the captain. No. We need a captain who can lead us both on and off the field. Somebody who plays the full 80 minutes, isnt injured every other week and somebody who can bring belief and raise expectation within the team and the fans by one spectacular play. Radford doesn't fill them categories.

Well you're just wrong then.
It is a 100% fact that that [inot[/i 'every other ground in the UK allows its supporters home and away to enjoy a nice pint of lager or bitter whilst watching their favourite rugby league or football side.'

If it makes you feel superior, then ok then, it wasn't 100% fact. I should have said the majority of stadiums allow for their fans to drink on the terracing or seating areas.
As for Standee who posted [i'idiots that get bevvied up already cause enough trouble when the smoking ban first came in, expecting them to differentiate between football and RL is a step too far.'[/i
Bevvied up idiots do attend sporting matches yes, so if what your saying is true, we should ban alcohol altogether in the stadium. I personally dont see the purpose of it been sold if you cant drink it on the terra...I mean seating area.
Would you rather have the odd one or two drunken idiots sat next to you, or a frail old man who spills his entire coffee over your head when the team scores and end up having to miss the rest of the matches because of third degree burns? I know who i'd rather be sat next too.

I agree with your sentiments re beer
My main bug bear is half time, its just an utter joke in the concourse. That is the SMC's remit and they should sor it out.
First solution sell plastic bottles of beer, and have a separate beer stall from the other refreshements.
It's not rocket science

A perfect example been at Odsal, they have a couple of beer stalls. Perhaps, just maybe....that could solve the drinking on the terracing/seating problem.
Beer only stalls means only beer drinkers will be in the queue, no pie, crisps and chocolate people queuing up to make the waiting time even longer. That, coupled with better staff service could just possibly result in been able to enjoy a beer for a full 10 minutes, thus not having to drink it in your seat anyway!

Is this guy really what we want in a captain? Negative , regressive ,small minded. Surely a captain should be looking forward and seeing the future as something to meet with improvement. His body language last season was poor and now he's added to that with actual language which to me helps no one. We've got a fantastic facility at the KC and it's the players on the pitch that will create atmosphere and fill it by putting in consistently passionate , attractive and winning performances. Just a look at the attendances since the move shows what it's done for us. I only hope he's been misquoted or quoted out of context.'"
I felt he made some strange comments last season when interviewed after matches etc and said then that he could do to think for a bit longer before saying something. As much as the Boulevard will always be a special place in Hull fans hearts I personally wouldn't want to go back there. If nothing else it would certainly cost us our A grade franchise.

more to the point i dont think there is the space to build a 15,000 capacity RL ground there, not without buying up houses and land.
sure the boulevard may have fitted that number back in the day where you could cram people in and have open air toilets...but a modern ground would struggle to fit that space. Also it was hardly the quickest to get out of with 6,000 in during our final days, it'd never cope with the crowds we get now. And who exactly would pay for it, we've had more than our share of the councils cash.
if the KC does get expanded to 30,000 I'd hope that Hull would take the attitude of 'fine its now 5,000 seats bigger, lets sell 5,000 more passes then' and cut prices/do more marketing to achieve that aim.
personally i think the boulevard could eventually be a good site for a HullFC training ground/academy if we ever have the resources to build one.

| Considering him and the players have trained at the Boulevard recently and have seen how the site looks one can only presume Radders was either as high as a kite or had taken a blow to the head to suggest something so ridiculous as this.

| i e -mailed RH tonight and got my email read out , i strongly believe that Radders comments about returning to the Boulevard was inspired by the board no club will let their players speak out on such a contraversial issue with the potential to upset the fanbase without their consent , i feel that Hull City want the KC to themselves and that basically our board have bowed down to them , Radders i feel was prepped into making this comment about returning to the Boulevard to see what the reaction would be from the fans , i mentioned a couple of months ago about Citys dominance at the Kc but got slated for my comments from certain individuals on this forum , i strongly feel that our days at the KC are numbered , remember our board treat the club as a business , if they can secure an attractive deal from Hull City (and forget the tenancy agreement for a while) that would be financially rewarding that could possibly pay off a lot of our debt , i feel that it would see us leaving the Kc and playing at the Boulevard again, did no one smell a rat at Albos "basics" training at the Boulevard, the club video on the official site at the Boulevard, read into it what you will , do you really think it was an off the cuff remark from Radders ?

| I've always said that if we had to return to The Boulevard, I for one would be over the moon. Obviously, a re-developed Boulevard of course. Something on the same lines of The Halliwell-Jones.....But oval would be nice. I get sick of hearing how good the KC is.....It is, its lovely, its got the best toilets in RL, but I agree with Radders that its hard to fill with RL fans and will be even worse if they extend the place to get more 'soccer sheep' in! A re-developed Airlie Street site would be a guaranteed winner for the club and it would be ace hearing The Threepenny stand in full voice again.
The Flash Flanagan game this year made me realise how much I miss the place!

| The HJ is rubbish compared to the KC, its like a non-league football ground.
I'd rather have 14,000 in a 25,000 KC (or a 30,000 KC for that matter) than 7,000 in a 14,000 redeveloped Boulevard. The attendances would drop for sure should we move.
Not that it will happen as thankfully the club has far more sense than Lee Radford or some posters on this board.
