Half of my family are rovers and I really hope they enjoy the day. I'm sure you're the type of supporter who believes that 'as long as we finish above them' it's a successful season.
Well I'm not. In an ideal world we would be first and second in the league and competing in major finals on a regular basis.
Hating rovers more than another FC fan doesn't make you a better FC fan

Well said, pretty much sums my feelings up the other way, I'd love us to be top and you second and both in finals together. We have a special rivalry in RL and its something we should promote.

As far as the reception is concerned I don't think we should have one if we lose. I'll enjoy the day, clap them off and that should be enough. If we win then its an open top bus and all the trimmings...

Being an FC fan is defined by your support of your club, not by your dislike of another club. Get over yourself. Your post is an embarrassment and makes you look a fool.

I think his spat with certain posters on the Rovers board drives his hatred of Rovers.

By that logic, shouldn't be hate FC also? He seems to be having a spat with some of them also!

As for a reception if they lose, who wants to celebrate losing? I'd certainly not go to see Hull at the guildhall if they lost

I hate to say it but I think I agree with Legends And Icons here. I don't understand how any Hull fan could want Rovers to win and vice versa. Not that I think it makes you less of a fan of your team but I just wouldn't ever want to see Hull do well.

Of course I don't want them to win. We've had to put up with 35 years of 10-5. If they win on Saturday it gives them another stick to beat us with.

I'm sure a lot of it is just so that people can win either way. If Rovers win then they have proof that they 'always wanted us to win it anyway' and then if we lose then obviously they can take the p155.

I don't think a Rovers win would be an FC fan's choice at all. But you clearly deserve your place in the final and most have friends/family who are red and whites, so this mitigates the undoubted annoyance. Plus Leeds are hardly our favourite team.
