Money talks and that's the way you get a big name coach in. Oh how I wish we could have another Brian Smith.

| FC are the laughing stock of british rugby league, everyone can see what the main problem is apart from our pig headed chairman. We were a better side with Kath in charge, that how bad we now are

A few days ago an article here discussed Super League teams that should be considered for a place in the proposed expanded World Club Championship competition in 2015. It said that the 5 "Marquee Clubs" should be considered -- Wigan, Leeds, St Helens, Warrington and Hull FC. Obviously there is still respect for the club over here.

Too right it does.
Tony Smith was off contract this season. Did we have a word? Probably not.
From where I'm sitting we seem to prioritise the playing roster first with
the loose change being spent employing a succession of assistant coaches

| Thank god for London and Bradford that's all you can say about this season.i do find it strange that we can be so so poor yet stick as we are. I imagined Pearson to beg be kind of person who wouldn't accept failure. This season has been abject failure.ok we knew we wouldn't go down this year but next time this is for real. If someone doesn't act and act now ..........well we remember what it was like last time.
We need a lot more than a promising young scrum half. We need some direction at coach level and I don't mean Plaxtons. At the very very least someone needs to be brought in to guide Radford and Last. They really do seem to need it.
In reality they need to go. I don't know who you'd get to replace them mind. We can all bandy names about but it takes vision and rugby knowledge to get that right. I have no doubt Pearson has the vision.
The reality really is that had we not been able to rely on the shortcomings of other clubs we would be gone.
You can discuss that at your BBQ
Onwards and upwards...................let's hope so

| The best thing that could happen now would be for the players to do to Radford what they did to Gentle at Huddersfield last season.

| One thing is for certain, we're hardly going to be attractive to the top drawer players the coach says we need

But that would be no good if they did it and Pearson got rid of Radford and brought in a top coach and the players didn't like his style then they would do it again!! Radford needs to go but this set of players need to take a lot of the blame aswell

So when's that? Everybody else can see it staring them in the face now, surely?
What is Pearson playing at? Humble pie tastes nicer than relegation feels accompanied by the inevitable financial losses.

| Making that top 8 next year is massive. In there and you're playing the better teams, better crowds and more prize money. Recruitment will be easier as you will be more attractive to better players, renention of your best players will be easier and recruiting and retaining the best local youngsters will be easier
Out of it and you risk losing your SL place altogether and will be playing less attractive teams, you will make less money and recruitment and retention of established and young players will be more challenging.
I personally can't see why pearson is risking all of that on a rookie coach who in his first season at the club has turned an average SL side into one which seems to get worse by the week
