Posted something awhile back on this but I noticed on Companies House that the Hull FC company AP set up to take over us back in 2011 was set up in the May of that year but the purchase wasn't finalised until the July so this kind of thing (whether it's a takeover or investment) takes time. AP did always say it would be by the end of the season.

If we sign Rimbu alongside Stewart it would give us some pace through the middle of the field.

Rumours of a winger or 2 on the way too. The rebuild is chugging along nicely.

AP did mention it would be towards the end of the year, when any potential investors would be announced. Sounded like more than one.

However, I don't think we look that minted yet. If you look at who we are/have let go, judging by what they were said to be on, the books look pretty balanced, the squad is looking more.balanced also, with better quality. Starting to take shape.

There’s not one player we’ve signed that wouldn’t have been available to us on the 22,23 or 24 seasons budgets. Asiata will likely be on more then anyone currently on the books but it’s no secret that we offered Clifford a big upgrade and marquee wage likely equal to the Asiata contract, and likely around the same as Josh Reynolds.

Don’t forget we had 16 players off contract anyway, only a couple of youngsters have resigned and add that to likely departures of Sutcliffe and Walker even with a couple more incomings we are about like for like for me wages wise, hopefully just used a bit more wisely.

If there is an indicator of being better off financially it seems the penny pinching on backroom staff and off field roles has ended or at least moving in the right direction. We’ve certainly not being throwing cash around on the playing side like some would have believe, it was always going to be a big rebuild this year.

We've had a poor ROI from our top earners for years. Myler seems to be balancing the squad out.

Won't Tindall be on the exit list too ? Hopefully bring in the starting winger he was meant to be, Barron & Martin back up & developing !!

Never known a season like it for recruitment, maybe that season we had Jamie Forster and Ryan McGoldrick playing for us, 2012 was it? Welcome Jed & Treigh! Don't know much about either but hope they improve us for the rest of the season and next
