Quote: Dave K. "Unless we sign a half, I honestly think we won't even finish top 4 next year, it's been a great year, but this is taking the gloss slightly off the season and making me worried about next year.

I hope Radford sees what most fans do and we haven't spent all our cap on a winger.'"

have to agree.I have been saying this now for weeks.
You can only go so far with power and effort.
Need some speed and more creativity at half back just hope Radford sees the light

No problem with criticism that is justified. Suggesting that the players weren't trying just sounds stupid and displays a basic lack of understanding of the game. Defensively we were decent throughout and defence is built on effort and enthusiasm.

Great effort in that second half. Could easily have folded and been walloped. We were just not good enough in the first forty minutes. A disappointing end to the season after being top two for so long but what an incredible year.

What a fantastic game. At half time I was anticipating a hammering but the lads didn't give up. A few minutes away from the GF but it was not to be. For the first time in years I've been proud to be a Hull fan. Thank you to the club for providing such a great season.

So you think losing with a full squad against two teams decimated by injuries is ok and fine???? I think it is you who is sadly lacking in the understanding of the game.

It's easy to say that after the game.

Quote: Staffs FC "Fair play to our lads heroic second half effort. As to the idiot who put on here at half time that he wasted his money since Wembley and that Hull weren't trying I would say love off and support Wigan you'd fit in better there.'"

So you are happy with the last 4/5 weeks performance? I am amazed by the season we have had but I stand by my point that since Wembley we have completely switched off and thrown the chance of the LLS and a grand final away. Can you deny that?? The second half tonight did in the end justify the cost to travel over but again, if we had done that for the 80 we would now be in the grand final

wigan had all the ball first half, we had more second half , we have gone of the boil since Wembley but we wont be the first team to do that, looking at the bigger picture this has been a wonderful season and we where 10 min from a grand final, I would never knock the effort of this team but we have look jaded the last few matches, from 8th we have reached 3rd and won the challenge cup, that to me has been a fantastic effort, well done lads ,COYH,

We were missing Ellis and Manu tonight, so not a 'full squad' actually.

I'm as disappointed as anyone about the way our Super 8 campaign fizzled out, but none of that was down to a lack of effort. If you think this group of players will ever turn up to a game not bothered about winning it then you really haven't been paying attention.

What a season. Beyond anything I could have hoped for. From a selfish perspective hope they get on the sun loungers for 6 weeks and avoid international drubbings icon_wink.gif

On another note, the brand of rugby we played second half was much better. Getting it wide, 2nd rowers running at centres, offloads. It wasn't high risk rugby, so should be easily implemented as a standard.9
