| This is interesting stuff and I guess for a lot of folks its a strange one in that when James Clark headed up the communications side of things the service we got was very good however since he became Chief Executive we have heard little if nothing. Can you remember the last time he spoke about the issues CE's usually discuss openly with fans at other clubs. All we hear is when another set of shirts is released or a new set of training gear is produced in fact we have so many now we'll probably be getting players official Pajama kit soon, looking around the city and the crowd people are still buying them as well. However, as someone above says when you consider how many of us kept our money in during covid and as I have said before I know fans who through ill health can no longer go to games yet still keep their season tickets out of loyalty to the club. Then there are the travelling support arguably the best in the league over many seasons. I used to be involved with FC Voices and we always used to press for and indeed got two fans forums a year but for the lat 6 years there has been nothing. Surely a fan base like ours deserves better or at least a bit of communication and feed back to balance the loyalty, allegiance and obvious devotion thousands of us still hold for our club, despite quite frankly a consistent decline on the field year on year for the past 7 years.

Are there any fans groups still.in contact with the club? As surely the fans feelings need communicating, all we get is q and a on hull live where we learn nothing. Maybe hull lives FC reporter would like to inform clarke and pearson how knarked the fans are about the lack of communication and inform.him hes facing a big drop.off in pass sales.

| Martin being left out isn't a dig on him sometimes they just need a breather why do people get tetcy about it, like Dave said look at Litten last season, Tindall and Mac are the two first choice wingers why wouldn't you play them? Danny Houghton isn't on the cap so he isn't costing cap space, although we can't keep trying to get 80 minutes out of him he needs to be rotated. Why do people think Sam Powell would move from Lancashire when he's based there and he can go down the road to Warrington.

| In reply to R&R69 I believe FC voices still exists as their chairperson includes that position on her Facebook site but I haven't heard anything from them for ages, in fact they have been pretty anonymous for years. I think the last fans forum was back in 2015 at the Walton Club. They are the ideal candidates because they are listed on the club site as the official supporters group recognised by the Club and I guess that their low profile suits them. WE need another HISA really.

| Plenty of outspoken supporters on here but who would be willing to organise that. It's a thankless task.

| A thankless task indeed. A Bit of historical background.
The Last I heard FC Voices had a lot of good people involved but they had no real clout anymore. For that, you need to form an independent supporters organisation which is a massive task with a constitution a guarantee of recognition by the club a committee chairman treasurer etc plus if subs are involved a controlled treasury. then once people buy in everyone as a member has a vote and everything has to be done by concencus which is a nightmare. in 1997 HISA was formed and we all bought in because their one aim was to get rid of Lloyd and ensure the club survived. They organised protest marches, produced a fanzine and petitioned the council. In the end they were instrumental in saving the club and persuading Gateshead to merge.
Once that was done and they were involved in more everyday stuff it became unwieldy and almost impossible to progress any corporate initiatives as consensus was difficult to gain, because as this board proves everyone has a view which they believe is right particularly if they are a paying member.
. Eventually it fell apart.
FC Voices was formed after the sacking of John Kear and although properly constituted and recognised by Auntie Kath Rule and Co they avoided membership but rather took a role of offering a conduit between the fans and the club. When I was involved I met with James Rule and then Adam every couple of months with a list of issues fans had raised and we had a voice. In addition they had a deal of success promoted fans events like memorabilia fairs and two fans forums a year at which the fans could question the owner and the CE plus a couple of players, .as well as providing the fans player of the year award. In addition we represented and accompanied fans at hearings on match day behaviour with the SMC etc. It used to work well and it held the club to a certain level of accountability. But it all seems to have faded away and I guess it will suit them now that no such repoir with fans exists at all.

It sounds like it's been running too hot and has short circuited.
(Just kidding, I fancy us today too).

I'll see how I feel when the teams are announced.
Amone and Lam will be big losses for Leigh if they are out. We could do with Pele back to give us more balance up front.

| Can't see Amone and Lam both missing out, knowing our luck they'll both play, Pele won't and we'll lose 2 in the warm up and have another 2 sent off

| It is at least dry and sunny out there today, so hopefully some free flowing attacking play from our exciting backline
