| Quote: The Chair Maker "That was actually a point lost for Hull.
You completely dominated the last 20 mins with Saints struggling to get past the 40 metre line. Hull were then returning the ball for 60-70 metres in a set of 6.
How and why Hull didnt set it up for a drop goal is beyond me. I can only think that you had figured that Saints were that shot to pieces that we would roll over and die and therefore a try was a formality.
When you did attempt drops it was pretty much an afterthought after a move had broken down.'"
It's a good confidence boost for us. Maybe we should have had two points but round 3 a point away at Saints will be a point gained come September.

Personally I'm not happy with the amount of time Aaron sat on the bench. More so when galea playing massive minutes, and I'm not actually one of those writing him off. Last 15 I was shouting at radio 2get Aaron n ogre back on'"
Galea was awesome in defence... He gives us the edge on the left flank against every team with his astute passing and his eye for the oppositions breaks, 100% every game , what more do you want?
Tonights performance was fantastic from the boys. You couldn`t have asked for more. Holdsworth is looking special and Horney is like a new kid on the block. Johnson is the snip of the season for me along with McDonnell who I give the MOM to. At 22 all we had them on the rack and with time on the clock we ran the ball rather than took the one pointer, that will cost us later on.

Nah, we had em and ran with it, 7 or so minutes to go in front of sticks and we went left and knocked on.
Can someone tell me why Briscoe had his try dissallowed?

Forward pass. Looked OK to me, but then again it would do.

Cheers love, looked ok to me as well, but then again I was also behind the sticks. Thaler appeared to have no idea why to dissallow it at first from where I could see.

We have depth now so I hope Lineham get the call rather than shift players around . Leave Crookes to get fully fit again.

Did to me too, couldn't believe it when it got ruled out.
Johnson was brilliant tonight, maybe because he used to play for Saints and he's raised his game, or hopefully because that's how good he actually is when he plays big minutes.
Shannon Mc was excellent too, and it's a long time since our kicking game has been so good.
Plenty of positives for us out of tonight going forward, there was just that 15 minute spell in the first half when Thaler found his whistle and was playing touch and pass when we couldn't live with them.

I've been ok with him, I appreciate what he does and In time he'll no doubt win us a game or 2. Just don't understand why he's 1 of the few forwards getting pretty much a full game while Aaron 1of our most cutting edge players is spending more time on the bench instead of the pitch

| Your ball movement was a joy to watch tonight, but there still seems to be something missing from your team. Just didn't have that killer instinct to win the game when you should have in that last quarter. We gifted you ball with some sloppy errors, but you just couldn't do enough to win.
Very promising to be a hull FC fan atm I'd say.

| dissapointed not to win in the end but when saints went 22-12 up i feared the worst so i'll gladly take a point
didnt see anything wrong with briscoes' ruled out try forward pass, at time it seemed thaler was looking for reasons to penalise us, especially in the first half, a few of us commented on how he allowed saints players to charge into mcdonnell, (my m.o.m) and crookes as they went up for the ball and allowed saints to score twice from the corrosponding plays.
still something missing from our attack, we had enough possession in the last 20 minutes to put saints to bed!

| How did Willie look? I know Turner scored but sounded on radio as a Yeamo error although at the time the pressure sounded like a try would have come if not that tackle the next, did he do anything other than that?

47035_1386433761.gif We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_47035.gif |

| It's interesting reading the thread on here and the threads from on the Saints board.
A draw, yet you would imagine we had took a fatal blow and Hull had won by a good 20 - 30 points.
We are a depressive set at times.
