Before I saw the state of him on Saturday night I would have welcomed the move. Now I think we should look elsewhere. There's no way a Rugby League half back should be carrying that amount of weight. It's been a problem throughout his career but he obviously doesn't give a toss about it. You have to wonder if this is contributing to his injury problems.

For what it’s worth, I think he’ll be a good signing. The club just need to get a meal prep service including into his contract.

Been able to tie down one of most highly thought of halves in the comp as a Academy Marquee signing is a decent bit of business imo, granted there is the obvious worries over his injuries/weight.

I like that this frees up the opportunity to use a quota spot on a centre/back rower.

Definitely some plus points for the Abdull signing if it happens. One of the best kickers in Super League and there are salary cap advantages.

You have to wonder though how many times we'd have Abdull and Trueman both playing unless the pair of them have a big change of luck with staying injury free.
