| Hes been playing absolute gash lately but i feel a bit sorry for Thorman,
in the not too recent past he was a good decent scrum-half, never a world beater with a good kicking game who would have quite easily have done the job for us for this season,
what happened last year at Huddersfield must have really shook up his confidence to feck,
Its not his fault that the club signed him as a cheap option on the back of the hope that we could get the Thorman of three years ago,
If you got dumped by your club and another super league comes in for you you take it as the only other option would be dropping into playing part time.
i blame the club for his signing not Thorman himself playing crap, which has happened.
since we probably won't be getting anyone in this year i would give him a couple of games out of the side, let him try and sort himself out and then give him another go.

Not wanting to leap to Agar's defence, but...

Also, players shouldn't HAVE to be in fear of their place to play to an acceptable standard.

| My main problem with Thorman is that, virtually every time he receives the ball, he looks like he's already made up his mind what he's going to do with it. Plenty of times last night, and throughout the season, he had a number of runners coming off him, plus the option to kick or go himself. Just about every time, though, he went with the wrong one. Even with just simple things like choosing which runner to hit on a wedge, he wasn't getting it right, either giving it to the lead runner when the outside defender had come in or giving it to the back man when the defender stayed out and left a gap. The only possible reason for him taking these options is that he's already decided which runner is getting the ball in advance and isn't making a call when he's got the ball and can see how the defence is lining up.
On other occasions, after giving an inside ball when it wasn't really on a few times, he dummied the inside pass and went himself when there was a gap for the runner. These aren't things that are down to a lack of skill even, it's purely vision and confidence, things an experienced half-back really should have a lot of.
Plus his kicking and defence were their usual, e selves.

No he wasnt, he has never been a good scum half, apart from the odd assist with his short range kicking game his kicking game has always been poor. There was a time when he was a threat when running the ball for London and Hudds, but hes never been a decent 7 in my opinion, I said at the time it wasan aweful signing and not many would disagree now.

| Quote: Robbo4 "Not read the whole thread so apologies if this has been said already.
1. Didn't want him in the first place, he was rubbish for Hudds which is why they got rid.
2. I was prepared to accept his signing on a 1 year deal if it meant we could use the time to find a really top quality 7 for next season.
3. If his contract is extended and we dont bring a top SH next season I will NOT be renewing my season pass.'"
With regards to points 2 & 3 I agree wholeheartedly. Barring a couple of games early on he has been shocking. That said I was told we would be bringing in a halve for 2010 at the time Thorman was signed hence the one year deal.

That should be in his player profile on the official site. No more needs to be said.

| Quote: Matty_HullFC "Get him out of our team now, he is rubbish. The only decent kicks that where put in tonight where from Washy, Houghton and Tommy Lee. He offers nothing, we needed a decent kick or a decent play to get us to the other end of the field, instead we get some shocking kick straight down the throat of one of their backs.
Play either
1. Horne
6. Washy
7. Lee
9. Houghton
or
1. Horne
6. Washy
7. Berro
9. Lee
and Houghton on the bench.'"
I agree 100% he has done nothing since joining apart from growing a dodgy beard!!
