| From their try from the scrum in 1st half Shaul didn't need to be in the scrum, but he went in at 13 and left us short in the defensive line and it was a very easy try

| Firstly much respect to all the supporters from Saints who observed the tributes to Johnny with impeccable manners at the game today, this is one thing about this game I will remember.
I thought Hodgson made an error not starting Big Chris, Walmsley was too hot to handle all match, and he set the trend for a very poor performance from us, why he’s not in the NRL baffles me, well played.
Saints are the champions for a reason, they are slick, do the basics, have pace, and power, they also had a nearly full strength side to pick from, and playing against a Hull team, one sin binned, one red card, and missing numerous first teamers, there really was only one outcome.
This is not really the game to scapegoat players, it’s easy blame Jamie Shaul, he dropped the ball, he made errors, so did Jack Welsby, the weather made it extremely difficult handling.
A couple of positive things to come out of this game, our new hooker Joe looked to have a bit about him, and a magnificent crowd of 12,600 turned out in atrocious conditions.
Kendall like his mint cake, was crap.

| Thought the ref got all of the big decisions correct except one, which was really pivotal, just before Wynne knocked on and the got sin binned, Hurrell should have been sin binned for a late hit, we would have had a penalty and playing against 12, it went downhill from there. I don't think it would have changed the result, but would have made it a closer game.

| Quote: Chris71 "Our line speed or rather the lack of it is as big a problem as our poor discipline. We still seem happy to just stand and wait in the defensive line giving the opposition metres without having to make any effort. Similarly the speed at which we ptb is so slow along with the speed we try to move the ball. These two things will cause us to have to put in far more effort defensively against average teams but against a team like St’s who play with much more intensity & speed you are never going to make any yards or stop them gaining. That today was as disappointing as anything as we just didn’t have any desire or intent. The only positive for me is we no longer have Radford as coach but I am seriously questioning if BH can improve us as the basics of the game from todays effort were shocking.
As for Kendall I thought he was poor generally and I’m still wondering what hull gave to do to get set restarts and in the crucial areas of the pitch. Kendall fir me certainly favoured St’s and gave the most of the decisions but we just didn’t help ourselves either with stupidity'"
strange how a hull player was penalized for lifting opponents leg but when a saints player did it,nothing.

Well after getting home soaked to my thermal long johns, I didn’t want to re watch it, understandably, but sat in the East stand, the vibe regarding Kendall wasn’t good. I also believe our coach, who is usually quite fair disagrees also, Hodgson could be wrong of course. Perhaps our play the ball and ruck speed is so slow, it allows saints to look like they are in our faces every time we pass the ball, and not getting away with being perpetually offside, who knows.

| Woeful performance. Gale will get a Grade D for that moment of madness. Agree Satae should have started. Saints ljne speed was incredible, worthy champions. Next two home games will be crucial, have to beat Salford and Gaints.

| In other news, well done Digger for sorting out an Executive parking space, no more rushing over from Leeds to find a parking space.

Regarding parking mosher, one of the lads who went and parked on Walton street fair ground, said it was a right pain getting out, had to put Huddersfield on to cheer him up.

£150 for the season but split between three of us its worth it. Got out after straight away, just need to win some home games eh? Those people who don't go to away games must despair at the home form.

Sounds like a good move on the parking, there’s no organisation on the fair ground coming out.
The home form is an enigma, we seem to be a stronger away team, but it’s early days this season and yesterday’s result was probably expected, time will tell mate.

No one offered nothing going forward
Apart from his try our worst player yesterday was Griffin how many errors 6/7?
Connor wouldn't of made a jot of difference in them conditions also he hasn't had 7 months out like Shaul has been
Shaul made 1 or 2 half breaks but no one on his shoulder
Connor better passer but Shaul doesn't throw stupid interceptions or be an idiot with his mouth which results in penalties/red cards

5 minutes in we created the overlap, shaul had a simple 5 yard pass to make and it went straight into touch. It killed our momentum and saints scored off the back of it. You’re telling me that Connor wouldn’t of made that pass?
For his faults, we are a much better team with Connor in it.

| I’m probably in the minority for this opinion, but hey ho.
Gales red card, I thought he tried to anticipate were the ball was going a split second after JL kicked it, it seemed like a complete accident to me, if the ball bounces of Gales foot and he picks it up, no problem.
Not sure he’s ever been that type of player, footballers may deliberately rake opponents shins, not so much in our game, he’s been accused of all sorts of thuggery which is way over the top, miss timed at worst. I’m sure the disciplinary will adjudicate with their usual fairness. And hope Lomax recovers quickly.

Shauls passing is so bad he couldn't even find an opposition player, that pass yesterday was a bad a pass I've seen for a long time.
When did Shaul make a break, I don't remember a break by any player.
Shauls strengths were making breaks and being safe, he does neither anymore.
You must be a friend or related, he was awful yesterday.
I don't think you watch the games.
