| Quote: Mrs Barista "Good to see Lane and Cator maintaining their progress. Some lovely lines from Lane today.'"
Lane was outstanding. He has really seized his chance and will only get better. He seems to have been around for ever but is still only 23. Both him and Cator add mobility to a big pack. He probably wouldn't have been playing if Jones didn't have travel sickness. I've watched every Huddersfield game this season and Jones has been non existent. The coach hasn't been that good either

Have never liked this Golden Point business, on most occasions a draw is a fair result and today felt like a game where both sides were misfiring in attack and wasn't an edge of the seat thriller. The hooter going and a point each should have been the ending, not creating fake drama.'"
I think it should be 1 point each after 80 minutes and an extra point to the team that scores the golden point.

| Thought our defence coped with Warrington fairly easily tbh, apart from the last minister we kept our shape and didn't get sucked in and kept there trio of Austin, Widdop and Ratchford quiet. That in itself is a huge improvement you can see which will win us more than we lose. Yeah our attack lacked a bit but would stick with BM and Sneyd in the half's I wouldn't move CT there as he wouldn't offer anything different than BM and would weaken us out wide so I would stick with it until JR is back.

| Positives obviously the defence as most have mentioned.
Bit of a frustrating watch if I'm honest , mainly because of poor decision making in key moments of the game, I thought we showed abit of the brain farts seen under Radford. Panicked at the play the ball with our pass selections particularly in the golden point time, why we didn't give it to Brown for one more drive and then find Sneyd il never know, Sneyd and Houghton seemed abit asleep today with being vocal and getting set up.
I think McNamara has to find some assertiveness when it comes to taking Reynolds role in recieving the ball from Houghton then finding Connor quickly out wide, Houghton again seemed to ignore Ben and pick more established players which affected us going forward quickly, when we did do it twice second half we almost scored.
Couple of bits to work on, suppose it's good for Brett to see our clunky side early on and get it fixed. But not the end of the world.

| I think you were fortunate to have Hudds without Sezer and Salford for your loop/extra games in rounds 1 & 2.but yes you beat them both comfortably and that's all you can do. If you had got Rovers loop/extra fixtures of St Helens and Catalans well maybe it would have been different.
Quite why bottom teams like Rovers get top 4 teams for extra games and top 6 teams like Hull get bottom teams I really don't know but it does nothing to enhance the competition.
Shoot me down but I didn't see much special from Reynolds and having missed most of the past 2 seasons guess what? He's missing again. Get used to it.
Hey Hull have a good team and a good squad for sure but McNamara? Living on his Dad's name and surely it's a matter of time before Swift is found out by Hodgson.
Out of sorts Warrington were vulnerable today but they had to improve and they did. There are bigger tasks ahead and we'll all have a better idea after the Wigan games. Actually especially after the cup tie because Wigan don't often lose when it matters.

Very clunky, but as you say it's only early. 5 points from 6 and in the CC QF not a bad return from the first month I guess but our attack has definitely losses some zip without Reynolds.

By no means my first time on here and simply saying it as I see it.
What exactly do you disagree with?

We've got to remember that except for Reynolds these are Rainford signings that Hodgson is coaching. This Winter had the least changes in the squad I can remember at the club, and it will take another Winter for Hodgson to really put his stamp on the squad.
At the start of the season I felt I'd be happy with us progressing from 6th to 4th/5th and from what I've seen so far we are capable of doing so. So not a bad start at all.

| Blimey, Dobbins sneak a win and they’re trolling us! Couldn’t make it up. I’m sure Swifty and BMc are gutted you don’t rate them
Difference between this and Fridays game is that our opposition didn’t gift us some tries. Plus Wire weren’t dismal for the full first 40 minutes.

That’s a really good point to be honest. He’s working with what he inherited.
I think the early signs are good from BH, and it will only get better as his ideas kick in over time.
