| Quote: Dave K. "We probably had the same amount of cap as Wakey and London on the field in those two games and if you watched the game rather than listen to Clarke, we weren't lucky, we were the better side for most of the game, just poor indiscipline and errors cost us, had Sneyd kicked well it would have been over after 60 mins.
Can we refrain from name calling please. Thank you, Karen, does he not realise that Rovers and all teams have records for heaviest defeats at home and away.
Worryingly both ours have come in the last year, that would have been a decent point.
I don't think any Hull expected us to challenge this year, but performances like Friday are unacceptable, no matter how good Warrington were.'"
We were only the better side on paper against London. Same old issues of ill discipline, errors and poor goal line defence nearly cost us against a newly promoted side an experienced SL side like ourselves shouldn't make too hard a task of beating.
The same old failings with a poor player attitude nearly cost us that game. London displayed a greater will and desire but just lacked that bit of quality.
We play Warrington with the same attitude and mindset and instead of a narrow win it's a huge tonking.
To see how we've fallen away from the top 4 over the last 2 seasons is alarming.
I expected us to challenge this season and last otherwise why turn up to watch.
Too many players ooc with minds probably elsewhere and underperforming with a coach who has no idea how to address the slide is a recipe for disaster.
Warrington were slick in attack. Alert to the off load, always supporting and had so many set moves to call on.
Us on the other hand ship it left or right with no pace and no idea or display the usual 5 drives finished with a kick to the corner.
Warrington would have beaten us even without Blake Austin due to their attitude and being well coached.
It's sad to see but continued results and performances are going to damage attendances undoubtedly.
A new coach new ideas fresh optimism are now needed to invigorate this club.

My thoughts, exactly. Unfortunately Adam will just let Radford bumble on, the damage was done in the second half of last season, we’re being served up the same dross and excuses but the fans fronted up and bought passes, if it stays the same many will drift away. Both Wigan and Leeds will come good, new coaches need time to settle in, time to bite the bullet and use this season as a building block. Ooooh I thought that was last season Silly me.

Not really, we were destroyed by a class team, at my age I can handle that, but Austin showed a distinct “lack” of class with that look at me drop goal.

I suppose you have to find some fault with the opposition. You really are clutching at straws here.

As a wire fan, I'll dispute that, as he mentioned in his post match interview, we will be coming up in some close games later in the season or even golden point.
We were atrocious almost embarrassing last season when it was required, so you i can understand us having a pop.

It's called, twisting the knife. I would like to think Sneyd would have done the same in that position.
Not that we are likely to be in that position the way we're going at the moment.

Sneyd scoring four tries in a match nah that’s a position we are never going to be in.

| I've no problem with the late drop goal. If the tables had been turned we'd all be laughing about it.
Anyway I'd seen enough tries.

| The best thing about wire on Friday was that price had identified where we were weak, came up with a plan to exploit it and his team executed it to perfection. We're soft as shiite around the ruck and they broke us time and again by going at the defence around the PTB area. Every team in the comp will hit us there from now on. The number of tries we concede from dummy half runs is shocking.
Attitude, commitment and mindset all wrong from the off on Friday. It's happened too many times in recent years so we know it's down to preparation and mental strength. We didn't seem to have much of either on Friday

Are you for real here ??
He practised a drop goal at the end of a game to practice for close games
To think it was ‘look at me’ is naive at best
He was practising a DG whilst tired at the end of a game when players around him were tired but would need to protect him whilst he slots it over
Also we now have Golden point - again a practice
Think RL not personalities

| To be fair to Austin, he did say in the interview afterwards (as Mr Fantastic Cat has mentioned) that it was a good opportunity to practice for closer games which will inevitably come up. Although Austin has been class, he doesn't come across as arrogant or flash at all, in fact quite the opposite. He's very down to earth and modest/realistic about the club's and his performance.

Agree with you with the rider that this would not be the scenario in a real close game due to the absence of opposition pressure on him. In this instance Hull did not show any interest in blocking the attempt as there was little point in doing so.

Blake has stated he was just having a practice . It’s Rugby League. The game was put to bed early doors , The Warrington players will have been out on their feet .
The one pointer gave players a rest and gave Blake practice should he need to do a similar kick in a closer game .

100% agreed, and to say he was practicing is even more of a p15s take. But the biggest take was the team selection, tactics and attitude.
