Think it's a cracking shirt but don't get what your beef is with the green on it or why green should not be on any Hull shirt.

It's to do with green being an unlucky colour for trawlermen, although this doesn't appear to have been a showstopper at West Hull.
By all accounts the shop was rammed today, more good news for the retail operation side of things.

It's not the green in itself though it is too much, thinner band on the sleeves if not in gold would have been better. Also the jersey design just doesn't say 'Hull FC' aside from the club crest. The design is unidentifiable in every possible way.
The black T and the hooded top with green hints looks better, why not a proper black and white irregular hooped jersey (not the bands of the current home kit) like the heritage jersey with a subtle green and gold lining here and there and/or an Australia 2018 tour inscription/logo in green and gold under the old crest.
Sorry but it's very disappointing for a special edition jersey as is the lack of irregular hoops on the home shirt.

| It doesn't shout out Hull FC to me, which is what we should be going out there to do.

| Were playing in our home shirt V Wigan then Oz shirt against St George - i dont see the problem tbh?
As for merchandise i was in the town branch at 10am and it was packed - people spending hundreds every minute and i got myself an Oz polo. Hope the rumours of no more Oz stuff are just that, rumours, as the club could sell lots lots more - the pink stuff i wanted at Xmas still hasnt come back in so i hope thats cos of the focus on the Oz stuff and not that were now only selling limited numbers of everything - i know its a fine line from not having enough to way too many with a rugby league club with a limited market but it seems the club need to think slightly bigger from what ive seen over the last couple of months

Thought this myth was debunked ages ago. Most were black but there were plenty of green `hulled' trawlers sailed out of Hull.
Green was also the predominant colour of most terraced houses on Hessle Rd in the 50's, as the cheapest paint, (bring your own tin)
was from a small factory in Edinburgh St IIRC. (They only made one colour!)
It is a very nice shirt though.

I do quite like the shirt but I get your points. I like the home shirt too, but have the same thoughts re hoops and the lack of them going all the way around the shirt

Seriously do you ever have anything positive to say about the club, why do you bother to support us? In your 3 posts you have critised the shirt, Fonua and Pritchard, all of which was over the top and untrue. You have also critised Radford a few times about his use of youth players (again you made up stats about games played and was wrong)
Waste of time replying to as you will do what you normally do and ignore the replays when you know you are wrong.
I think we all like a moan now and again, but you are so negative about the club.

| So the question is, as I will be going to the matches in Aus. Should I buy a new shirt or wear my more traditional hooped one/

| I know it's all about making a fast buck, but Hull FC is known for it's irregular black and white hoops. The rugby league world identifies the pattern with the club. If you want to make a statement in a new market, do you go with something that immediately identifies your club, or do you go for an off the shelf design from ISC?

Seriously do you not read anything except justified criticism?
The tour shirt available to the fans is awful, I said I liked the T and the hooded top, I gave an example of what I believe would have been a far more attractive look, one the fans could identify with not something that only has the club crest to say it's Hull FC. all you've done is come on to slag me off for having an opinion that others have agreed with.
Which stats were wrong then, c'mon, back it up!Though not like no-one ever has made similar errors but my criticisms of Radford are not blinded like some, I've also given plenty of praise when deserved. As I said you only want to see what you want to knock/don't agree with opinions without actually saying anything solid to back your points, laughable.
Talk about turning a perfectly amiable discussion into yet another bitch fest!

I had forgotten altogether about that paint factory on the left behind the big doors in Edinboro street, as soon as you mentioned it I could smell it all over again!!

| No our next door neighbour said that they never took anything green on board but the only paint you could get cheap in the 50's was green and most houses down our street were painted with it.
